Monday, 31 August, 2015 Police have thanked both local residents and visitors alike for playing their part in ensuring the success of two of Leeds’ largest annual events. Around 60,000 people daily visited Bramham Park for the three-day Leeds Festival. In total there were 56 arrests during the festival, just up on the 51 people arrested last year. Wednesday, 26 August, 2015 Police investigating a sexual assault outside the Palace pub near Maude Street, Leeds, have made an arrest. A 30-year-old man from the North Yorkshire area has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape. He has been interviewed and released on bail. Tuesday, 25 August, 2015 Six men have been arrested as part of a pre-planned police operation in Elland today (Tuesday, 25 August). The men were arrested in South Lane, Elland, at around 12.20pm today on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and are currently in custody. Friday, 21 August, 2015 Three men have been jailed for a total of 18 years imprisonment for drug and money laundering offences which came to light following a stop of a vehicle in Bradford. Peter Rawson, 40, of Stone Acre Court, West Bowling; Klodian Bajrakurti, 28, of Tunbridge Wells, Kent; and Arif Paca, 22, of George Hudson Tower, Stratford; were all jailed at Bradford Crown Court on Wednesday (19 August).
