Hi all I hope I am posting this in the correct place? I am trying to write a book of memoirs as a surprise for my partner Andrea. Andrea was a police cadet at aged 17-18 and did 20 months as a cadet followed by 18 months as a WPC patrolling the streets of Sowerby bridge. Her father Colin Taylor PC137 was also a bobby at Halifax and Ovenden and served 23 years in the force. Andrea attended Bishopgarth during 1977 onwards as a police cadet and remembers being beasted on the drill square by SGT Butler (she remembers being shouted at and getting upset by it all). Andrea was first interviewed for the police by a Chief constable Gravlin (or maybe Gravling) a female officer.…
