West Yorkshire Police

Ok so I passed the initial application process and have selected an assessment date on the 6th June, probably at Wakefield HQ but still tba. Has anyone had this assessment yet? Any heads up? What does it consist of? I've read so many from other forces so if anyone has applied for West Yorks, if you could let me know what to expect and what's best to study and revise it will be sooooo much appreciated Thanks!!!

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas when the next set of training is likely to be? I know it's going to be after Feb as thats when the new training centre opens but has anyone any more specific information. I'm hoping now its the new year things start moving quickly as trying to plan a couple of things but dont want it to clash with training :new_thanks:

Hey Guys, I posted this message on the Bishopgarth website under the lift share section last night. Thought I'd try my luck on here too. Any kind soul offer me a lift from Leeds? I live near Headingley but willing to travel into the City Centre if it means I can get a lift. I'm starting with cohort 3 on Tuesday 13th of May. I'll be doing the weekday training dates. A lift to Carr Gate would be much appreciated. Petrol money paid of course! If I can't get a lift from Leeds, then pick up and drop off from Outwood train station (near Carr Gate) will do! Hi all iv have applied for the current intake of pcsos internally. I have had an email about being successful at the application stage and been invited for an interview. It doesn't say anything about assessment centre. Can anybody shed some light on the process if they have recently been through it as it seems strange to interview me before seeing if I am capable. Hello, I have a new job which means I will be relocating to the Emley Moor surrounding area, however I won't be able to commute the 110 miles down the M1 to the Midlands to perform a duty! Which means I'm considering a transfer or taking my Specials pension pot ;-) and retiring. Was having a quick look for rules on if we are able to ask it get told.. But I'm on my phone an on the way to work... There was a police chopper out last night in moor town, Leeds and a few cop cars driving around. Don't know if they had lights on as my gf was the one that got up to look haha. She said " can you punch well because I think I left the conservatory window open haha. Any one know what happend? The police people this morning as probably not of shift yet :/

Can anyone tell be about the 20 minute interview please, is it four questions about the conpentencies? I don't know If i can say what it says in the welcome pack or if anyone could explain it a little easier to me Also they give you one example of the situational judgement test but is there any more anywhere else where I can practice? I haven't yet come across any small amounts of cannabis to deal with during a search, can someone explain the process of a cannabis warning to me please? I'd rather know the gist of it beforehand rather than the officer having to explain it for the first time at the time. Is there a form to fill out or is a PNB entry. The cannabis is then seized and taken to stores I believe? I've posted it on here incase other forces do it differently

Does anyone know what the current list of kit/uniform/equipment is that specials get issued by WYP? Also do you get issued with the white shirt and black tie before you start training to wear to the training sessions, or do you just turn up casual to the training sessions? Cheers TE
