Hey just wondering if any current/recently left probationary would be able to tell me about the physical education at training. I'm intrigued to know if it is mostly distance running or intervals etc? And if so what distances did u have to cover? I haven't ran more than 5k in a while so just looking to up that.

Finally got my dates through for SET and initial fitness test after a lengthy wait due to my application going straight to vetting. I am applying through north command, division A and N are my preferences. How soon should I expect my interview to be if successful? I’ve heard the process can be fairly quick with north command.

Hi. I was just wondering if there are any current probationers or Tulliallan studentd I could chat with for some advice around attending assessment centre and final interview. I'm not currently in Scotland so I am struggling to make contact via telephone or inface with a current probationer. So if anyone on here could help me with a few questions it would be greatly appreciated. I'm a bit concerned about the partnership working question as to how much detail it goes into and what the best way to research this would be? Is respect for diversity assessed in the exercises or is it an interview competency and if it is it much different to the first interview?. And …

Hi everyone, Had some rubbish news today that my department at work is being made redundant, meaning I'm now in the unfortunate position of looking for work to keep me going until I get called up to start at Tuliallan. I did my final fitness at the beginning of March and I'm going through West - so sadly I can't see myself starting in the next couple of intakes. I applied in September, and was told at my final fitness it would be a December start at the earliest. I was just wondering, if anyone has heard any news about the intakes, and also for those of you recently at Tuliallan or starting soon - what is the longest you have heard that someone has had to wait…

Is anyone on track to make the Police Scotland (Edinburgh) June 2018 intake? I've been delayed after the March intake due to Edinburgh having low numbers required at said time. I'm desperate to start and praying I get accepted for a June start!! If anyone hears anything i.e. fitness tests etc. then let me know.

Hi, first time on here. Thought I'd check in to see if anyone is waiting on their A/C in April? Anyone already been through the process got any tips for the A/C? From what I gather the practical exercises are good fun and as long as you muck in, and get involved you can't go wrong. I'm more nervous about the Final interview, is this more intense than the first? I've been continuing with my research but can anyone tell me what sort of questions are asked around the other competencies?

My wife's parents are potentially retiring to Dumfries in the not too distant future and the idea of transferring north of the border has come up. It would help with child care and allow us to be near them as they get older. I'm not 100% convinced by the idea but I can see the merits in moving: there would be the added bonus that I could either be mortgage-free or upgrade to a much nicer house compared with what I have in the London-area. This is a very early fact-finding stage and I'm not set on the move - indeed, before this morning I didn't even realise a transfer was possible. I'm currently a PC in the Met with nearly 8 years service. I'm in a specialised (althou…

Hi everyone, I’ve just received my final offer and will be heading to Tulliallan on 26th March 2018. Just wondering if there is anyone else on here doing so and if there are any specific forum groups on the go already that I can be directed to? Thanks, Laura

Hi, I’m going to the college at the end of the month and am just wondering anyone’s thoughts on boots. I've been told to just buy 2 pairs of boots as I’ll hardly use the shoes once out of Tulliallan. ive been looking at a few and keep coming back to Altberg P1’s. Does anyone have any experience of these boots? Are they decent? Should I go for the aqua version? How is the sizing etc? Any feedback would be helpful. thanks Stuart

Currently applied through north command. Sent my application two weeks on Friday. Received an automated response and a second email saying that it will be passed on to north command within 7 days. On Thursday I received an email regarding the informing me that my application is under review and information about the vetting procedure. I haven’t heard anything else since then. Anybody else has this?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone who has passed the assessment centre can give me some tips for the day, also what’s asked. Just generally looking to see what’s ahead. Thanks
