Howdy, My brother-in-law is applying to join as a regular and is a little concerned about SET. Does anyone have old past papers that they want to sell at a reasonable price? Cheers for now!

Thought I'd Post this in strathclyde specific. Any advice for my interview? Specifically what stuff would be good to read up on? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello there!!! Another nerves newbie!! Just wandered if someone could help me with one of the questions asked on the specials application form(additional questionnaire)? Its probably quite simple, but i just want to get it right.( i have done research for this but cant find the best way to put it on paper) Its; What do you understand to be the role of a special constable? I'm not looking for a complete answer, but a guide would be great!!!! cheers in advance kev

Hey Ho Readers I've started this topic as a sort of mini-diary so that any potential L&B specials can get an idea of what to expect and hopefully sign up to join our fine constabulary. Didn't really want to put it in the main diary thread as I feel there are so many diaries already. I'll post all the training day's descriptions in here along with my stories once I'm out on the streets. Hi Andrew, Im just new to this post and noticed your comment. A year ago I sat my initial interview for regulars, I was unsuccessful however. I am thinking of applying to the Special Constabulary. Im just curious did you need to sit the SET test again when you applied as a Special. Thanks alot Matthew
