If you were in a final interview, what answer would you give if they asked 'Legalise cannabis?' Ã thought along the lines of; As a police officer I am expected to uphold the law, therefore any such decision would not be mine andhat of the government, and if it was to be legalised then I would follow relevant legislation' Any thoughts?

Hi My name is Nick and I live in West Lothian and am currently re-applying to the Specials (last application was er.. 20 years ago). I was wondering if anyone here is with F Division (I aim to be based at Livingston if possible) - who has the time to give me any first hand knoweledge of working in the area either as a Special or as a Regular. Other than that I would be grateful to hear from anyone in L&B - I expect the policing demands of the force area mean working outwith the Division catchment from time to time.

Hey guys, I have my final interview for Strathclyde Regs on Wednesday 27th. I've been told it is 2 Chief inspectors that will interview me and was wondering how to address them i.e. Sir. I would also like some advice on what to expect on the final, i.e. questions that are likely to be asked, what research is important etc. Your advide is appreciated to make my dream come true!! Just back from my Station visit - really, really useful. Spent about a little less that an hour and a half and met a range of officers with different policing responsibilities (community, traffic, response) and got to ask all the questions I wanted. All the officers were very helpful. I have alos been given the opportunity to go out on a community policing initiative as well, at a later date, which will be a great insight. I would strongly recommend anyone applying do this, not just to aid your application, but because it brings reality to the whole process - touring the custody suite is a stark reminder of the what the job can involve! I've applied to join the regs, and I've got my first interview soon. I'm not asking about what kind of questions they ask, as I read that thread at the top of the page and I'm pretty sure I've got all that covered. What I'm asking is when the panel interview you, do they have your application form sitting infront of them? Reason I ask is because I only had a provisional licence when I applied, but I've passed my test since then. Only just dawned on me that I never informed them that I had passed.
