Hi everybody! I am currently at the panel interview stage of the recruiting process and was wondering if anybody else has done this? Just want to enquire about what stuff I need to research, doing a couple of station visits, reading the chief constables report, looking at the 5 initiatives, why I want to join, what jobs a police officer does on a daily basis, the ranks of police, the pension, diversity issues, is there anything else I need to cover? Hi guys... I know the six courses at Tulli and which of them are examinable, however, can anyone tell me what the content of these courses are..? What i mean is, can anyone go into specifics or point me to the webpage that details them..? The tulli college website doesnt have it.. much appreciated.

Hi, I was looking at an application form for the regs with Tayside and I noticed that there is no compentacy section to complete. Why is this? Do you get tested on these at the assesment centre?

Could anyone tell me when the applications have to be in for the February specials intake? I want to get my driving test passed before I apply.

Just thought id ask who was all working over the period as its normally one of the busiest shifts going out in the county with all those egg throwers etc.

Hi, I was thinking about joining the police but wondered if it would be advisable to join as a special to begin with ... what would be the process to move from a special to a regular and is it straight forward enough to move from special to regular or do you have to effectively begin at the start of the recruitment process? Does anyone work in G division, I have to get mysel together for the final interview stage after my vetting so I want to try get a bit of a head start on things. the reason i'm asking about G divison is because i live in it and would also like to work in it aswell. THANKS

Hi all, ive been looking through the forums just to get some ideas on how other people are getting on with recruitment into SCP, and just wondered how long it took between having your initial interview, and getting the letter for the final interview? I had my interview on the 21st of september, and thought it went fairly well... but im not going to get my hopes up!!! As an 18.5 year old (even with a year in the royal navy) i still dont think i have a great chance of acceptance...just on age... Any views, hints, criticisims or crucifixions would be great!

Hi Guys, I'm an ex-Special from South Wales Police. Myself and my Girlfriend are interested in setting up home in some place new and are interested in Strathclyde's recent recruitment drive. What I want to know is how many times ( providing we pass the application stage ) would we be expected to travel up to Strathclyde to attend each stage as it seems the recruitment process is slightly different in my neck of the woods.
