Anyone know what the medical is like in Fife? I have one or two concerns, is this all discussed during the medical or are there any pre judgments made after the assessment evening?

Just a quick question guys. When do you get your uniform and what does it consist of? I've got my uniform fitting on the 19th of feb and just wondered if you get it before or after training? Thanks Joe.

Can anyone advise me as to the procedure when you're in the specials and apply to become a regular officer? I know you have to wait a year, but when you apply to the regulars can you still remain in the specials whilst applying or do you have to withdraw? Thanks in advance. Jim

Just e-mailed my application form. However, I'm not convinced they'll process it as I've told them I'll hand in the visual acuity form by hand by Friday! Might get a call tomorrow saying no can do but wanted to make the March intake. Time will tell! Martin

Hallo Me creating some random thing to talk about! lol I see all new recruits and regulars are getting issued new types of kinda flat cheap looking hats, what are you're thoughts on them? A good few still have the high peaked ones which I think look alot more smarter, are they trying to outdate the old ones? ................

Hi guys I'm new :D I have just discovered this forum and have been reading through it and found some really good information! I had my interview yesterday for the Specials. I think it went well, i was so nervous! They said i would hear from them by letter in the next 7 days. My friend applied before me and had an interview and got told on the day that she had it. but they told me i had to wait! Is that a bad sign?! Would be great to hear from people that are based in Dundee. x

Hi, Just wondering if any of the guys or girls on the October 2008 course are using this site? If so get in touch. Would be good to have a chat and get to know people. Officer safety training this weekend! Should be fun! Also is there anyone else out there on the course from Perth? Or even any officer who is working the mean streets of Perth, it would be good to hear from you! Michael

I have been a total of two times so far and my third is coming up soon, the first time round i failed the whole lot miserably, second time passed the exams and failed the fitness. Now out of curiosity if i fail the fitness a third time does that mean i am rejected for a year, that has just been confusing me a little. Definetly passing fitness this time but was just wondering to take a little pressure off. Thanks David
