The Recruiting Unit are now accepting applications for the next intake , which will be around February. :D You must submit a detailed application. As much info as you can get onto it. On the 'other info' page (Page 10) write why you want to be a Special in Central and what skills you have which you can bring to the job. If your application gets through then its an assessment evening followed by an interview and a medical. You've got to give it a go. I'm currently teaching our present intake Officer Safety and its fantastic. The effort and committment they are putting into this training makes it worthwhile giving up your Sunday. Hi Everyone, My haven't posted for a while, but still doing the specialling thing at Oxgangs & Wester Hailes! Wanted to let everybody know, I'm taking the plunge and opening my own glass studio in Edinburgh! The official opening is on the 30th January from 3 - 8pm and all are welcome to come and have a drink and a balloon and check out what I do! Hello there, merry christmas lol not long now :D I have my medical for the specials this Monday :D , I know what it consists of, at the end, can you ask if you have passed or not? or would that just look bad? If they did tell you, could you contact the clothing department that day to arrange a uniform date/time? Cheers Folks

Hi Wondering if anyone who has been for there induction day had been advised what it is we will be doing exactly? There is alot of chat about com pol, I was advised though that we would be utilised also for other thing's - otherwise what is the point in all the training involved, I was wanting to get out and do some more than walking about my local area - am in it for the experience of all roles of an officer... Anyone been advised anything at induction dates?!
