Is is just going over your experiences and any issues etc??? And also, does anyone know the sub divisonal commanders of G division or where I can find them out. I cant find them anywhere!!!! Thanks A lot! :D

Well I found out today that I failed my initial interview! I'm absolutely gutted!!!! What makes it worse is that I felt that the interview went really, really well and had no problems at all during it. I've been a special for almost two years, and I know it doesn't guarantee you into the regulars but like I say the interview went really well and I have experience and know the realities of the job and know I can do it well. I've devoted a lot of time to the force and to be knocked back just feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth! Especially because I have not been given any feedback as to why I failed and I could phone my sergeant just now and do a 11 hour shift tomorr…

Hi, I am going through the application process at the moment to join Grampian force as a special. Can anybody shed any light on what format the new recruit training takes? I gather from reading other posts here that it is conducted over a 6 week period. Can anybody shed some light on if this is 6 weekends and wether they have to follow on from each other. I work shifts and this includes some weekends, does anybody know if there is any flexibility to allow me to fit the training in around my day job? From what I have read on the Grampian police website I gather they don't want being a special to affect your day job but was just wondering about this initial training. …

Just heard from from a mate in Central that they are actively recruiting all the time. Apparently they need 50 regulars for this year and 70 for next. Because of the urgency you can get in in about 4 months. Not bad. JTH
