Hi guys, new to the forum and have decided to apply for Lothian & Borders, but have a few questions about the application questions. In the additional information section they ask youn to add any additional information that I feel is relevant for them to consider, are they looking for something of a personal statement? Or is it ok to just put N/A? I dont want to be seen to be going into detail about my work experiences and the skills i have gained from this if they're not looking for it. Hi guys and gals, bought some Bates Ultra Lites for when I start at Tullialian in January. I'm ex forces so I'm used to bulling boots and shoes. Started bulling the toe caps on the boots, didn't have any problems with the first one but for some reason I have a patch on the second one that just doesn't want to bull up. I've tried all sorts and its still not having it, if anyone has any suggestions/tips/advice it would be appreciated. Like I said its just one particular patch, the rest of the toecap is shining up ok. It looks like it may not be a smooth piece of leather. It's doing my head in!!

Hey Guys, I've just passed my SET test and will be going my initial fitness next neek, I was wondeirng about the initial interview though... What's in it basically, what should i know, what should i do to prepare for it??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated Thanks Guys :-)

Applied end of september got a eltter to say high volume of applicants and to bare with them and they will be in touch since them haveny heard anything

Hi all. This thread is really about what to bring and what not to bring to the College. On other courses I've attended, I've always ended up bringing too many clothes and ended up stashing them in my car! Also things like ironing boards and irons. I guess most of this is answered in the joining instructions for the College, but I'm just curious now that I've passed the Final Interview.

hey guys pretty new here well as the titles says its another vetting queastion, i was previously in the military and pretty sure they do a vetting there when applying which i passed. was wondering if anyone knew if they go through the same procedure or do they do a more detailed vetting? use probz already know the feeling of worry about vetting already and im in that position right now. im squeaky clean but how far back can they check with family because i hardly know anything about mine or even talk to them

hi there I have sent my application form in and got my letter saying that they will be in touch to say what is going to happen next. What usually happens after this? What kind of time frame would I be looking at? Thanks folks
