Hi, I hope you dont mind me posting this on forum. I applied for the force back in mid august and received a letter a week later saying my app was received. I came in from work this evening to find a missed call from recruitment, who had also emailed me a few mins after call asking me to call the person in particular, They said they were reviewing my app and to call them. I called at 5 but they were away home Does this sound ominous or am I stressing myself over nothing?? Many Thanks

Anyone else got there fitness test Friday? I'm travelling up from Lincolnshire on Thursday and staying overnight at Jackton. Looking forward to getting this last part done and can then concentrate on getting ready for Tullialan. I'll be easy to spot, be wearing a yellow running jacket, Ron hills if its cold, shorts otherwise. I don't have much hair and I'm English! Feel free to say hello.

Tonight, 2200 hours. Heads up for a new mockumentary which follows officers of the newly-formed PSoS. Further heads up that one of the characters is "Volunteer Officer Ken Beattie" (featured below) and, judging by the clips, he is wrong in all sorts of ways. http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b01nx339

Hi all, newbie to the forums. Firstly can I declare I have no clout and nobodys ear, I was however once a special. Just looking for views in how specials feel they should fit into the new PSOS setup? Should things continue the way they are or should there be radical change such as setting up a specials dept who deal with all training, deployments, moans and groans etc (similar to op nelson)? I have my own ideas but wonder what the guys who are actually doing the job think?? Perhaps this could be moved to a locked area? Have emailed mod for password??

Thought anyone? Personally I think an increase would be a good idea. Highland HGV drivers protest against 40mph limit By Helen Bushnell HGV drivers Elaine Reid and Conor Mckenna with MSP David Stewart, who is supporting the increased limit HIGHLAND HGV drivers have joined forces to back a campaign for a new 50mph speed limit for lorries on single carriageways. Around 300 drivers in the Highlands have started a week-long protest today, by sticking rigidly to the 40mph they are currently restricted to travelling at on single carriageways such as the A9 and A96. The HGV drivers argue the current 40mph limit causes frustrations, queuing traffic and dangerous overtakin…

Hi, Just wondering what kind of jobs folk on here did before joining the police or currently do, but are hoping to join the police? How have you found the change? I was previously a civil servant, but it was in a role that had lots of day to day dealing with police.
