Hi, i am quite new to the site and wondered if there was anyone else on here going through the recruitment process for Tayside? How's it going? And what stage are you at? Most of the posts I've read are from people being recruited for all the other Scottish forces?!

I was asked this question by a probationer as I could be asked it in my interview but wasn't sure. The probationer said child protection since it was close to them. I have a rough idea what they are but none I find relevant. Has anyone else had this problem?

So, I've got my Initial Interview this Monday. Have been doing my studying, but just wondering if there's anything I've missed? I've done my reasearch on the force and their priorities, studied my division and community, got the priorities for both of them too. Also been learning the current campaigns being run by the force. Went for a Probationer visit, learned some good stuff about what goes on at Tulliallan from him. Been studying diversity, and of course, have memorised the probationary period timetable. Even been looking at the new Police Service of Scotland just incase that's mentioned too. Anything I've missed? Any final tips? Or is it just the nerves getting the…

First time poster but have been reading lots of members posts that have been extremely helpful so thank you all. I just got my email through confirming my fitness test on the 11th Feb and was wondering if anyone else has heard yet? I'm over the moon so increasing my training now, still got a bit to go on the timed run but not too far away from target. Also planning prep for Assessment day and being ever the optimist the Force Panel. Any advice on these areas? If the snow clears by weekend looking to run Inverleith for a test run ........ hi, i remember someone said they were already there and feel free to ask any questions but i cant for the life of me find the post. i didnt know enough in my initial about the actual modules at the college and just want to chat to someone about it as any probationer at a station i speak to cant seem to remember much about it, its like once you've done your ten weeks it all goes out your head if someone could drop me a PM if you are willing to chat to me and answer one or two questions id be grateful!

Hiya I've off work for a week in March and hope to go away for some, if not all of the week. Problem is my application hasn't been through the papersift yet. I sent an email to recruitment to ask their advice re going on holiday, as I don't want to miss the chance of the SET, fitness or interviews. They replied saying they hope to have all applications through the paper sift in a week or so. This, however, doesn't really help as I still don't know if I should book a holiday or not. What do you guys think? I'm so worried I'll be away when they invite me to do the SET etc and won't let me re-arrange a date. Help!!!

anyone heard anything, rumors, fact, anything at all on the next intake date past feb? im 9.5 weeks into vetting so not on the feb intake but its driving me mad not knowing what will happen Seems that people are still going through early stages such as SETs just now so a final intake in april seems unrealistic. but im wondering is there maybe more than one intake? or is it not going to be til like aug or something? All they said at my interview in nov was they have been told to have X amount of people ready to start for the new force in april. and they wouldnt have been taking on so many applications if there werent jobs at the end of it. i almost keep forgettin…
