I was watching the service from London for rememberence day I have to say it was recorded as I was on parade today with the Cadets. It got me thinking with all various associations eg Burma star or RMPA why not have an SC association. What do you think?

Hi Guys - I work for the Police Oracle and I am writing an article about the pay dispute affecting police staff and the proposed strike ballot. I am looking to write a much longer reflective piece focusing on how tough it is financially for police staff just to make ends meet, who or what is to blame and how it can all be resolved. Afternoon all, I note on many programmes PCs charge suspects themselves, however on my Borough the skippers do it - is there any specific legislation or policy which dictates who can or should charge? The reason I ask is that I've been working on a big job for over 6 months and have done it start to finish so would love to be the one who informs the suspects of what case they'll be answering to the Crown!

Just out of interest, how many operational hours do you do? (Operational; as in, uniformed and on duty - not training etc.) Personally I feel that the usual 16 hour minimum is too low. What do people think?
