is it illegal to swap something on the highway, does this constitute any offence if i am replacing it with another? I am a cone collector who specialize in ones that are no longer made, is it illegal for me to swap a traffic cone for another one (purchased new) if it is in similar style, the cone owner gets a new one, and i get a rare one, but need to know the legality of this, thanks.

Hi, A short while ago an acquaintance of mine was arrested for failing a roadside breath test, and charged after providing a positive breath test once back at the police station. However, a shortwhile after (a couple of weeks) whilst attending the local police station regarding this offence, they were subsequently de-arrested. Hi there, I am writing because I am at a wits end with house-mates that in my eyes are breaking and entering to my room, allowing people to stay in there while I am away; completely without permission. I need some advice and I'm hoping the good people of this forum can help. I got a phone call from my brother last night to say that three of my cousins, all in their 20's, had turned up to his house and had tried to start a fight with my father, who is in his 60's and has a heart condition. Apparently something was said by my dad previously to another family member a few days ago and it filtered down to my cousins who didn't take too kindly to it. A friend of mine is still upset over an incident that happened ten years ago. Her brother in law who was a serving policeman at the time cornered her at a small gathering in my house and rubbed his hands up her thighs and tried to kiss her, she was very upset and left. i witnessed the incident and I know this has effected her a lot. She has mentioned to me that she regrets not reporting it at the time, is there any point in her reporting this incident now?

Just before the close of business today a police car pulled up on the bus stop at the front of my studio then reversed back onto the double yellow lines outside the pizza shop next door. Off for tea thought I. I was wrong and two officers came into the waiting room. Just had a conversation in work about the displaying of a Swastika in public. Someone was saying that there is no law stopping anyone, were as I thought it could be seen as a public order offence. Can anyone clear this up? Thanks.

I recently came across a number of boy racers parked up on private land, (car park) one of the cars was fitted with Wig Wag flashing head lamps, same as used by emergency services, does anyone know if it is an offence to have these fitted ? and what legislation applies, I had a look at the vehicle lighting regulations but am not too sure on the law on this sort of thing. Anyone come across this before, I am aware they are not allowed blue lights except if they don't flash, any advice on white flashing lights much appreciated.

I reported my ex partner for harrassment and answered a DASH assessment. I disclosed that there had been an incident in which she had hit me. It was decided to take no further police action as this is not what I wanted. She was never informed of any of this information, never questioned or anything but the incident was 'crimed' and she was named in the crime. Will this show up on her enhanced CRB check???

Good morrow, I was debriefed after a recent job during which I was required to escort a highly resistive prisoner to custody in the cage of a van. Whislt doing so, the charming gentleman has tried to self harm by smashing his head on the floor of the cage. I acted in a manner that I thought responsibel at the time, however was later told that my actions were inappropriate and potentially costituted assault. I was under the impression that thanks to the duty of care that all officers are required to exercise, I have held the gentlemans head to the floor of the cage in an attempt to stop him hurting himself. Hello all, new poster long time viewer. My ex-partner has made an harassment complaint against me (the details of which are disputable and i could easily have complained against them but I hadn't). And the police are going to visit that person tomorrow to discuss the situation with them.
