just wondered what the current opinion is on the morons who insist on driving while using mobiles? we all know that when the law relating to mobile phone usage when driving was introduced we had more police on the road and the thought of 3 points on your licence was enough to dissuade people. however, now the police are seen less seldom on the streets due to cuts, every moron and his dog are now driving while using the phone with total abandon! this is what i think the goverment should do, either change the law with immediate effect so you get 6 points or implement a 1 month ban....................... i expect i will get slagged off and told how narrow minded i am, bu…

I need some help. I have a diagnoiss of Aspergers and Ankastic Personality Disorder. All I have done is send an email to trading standards, companies house several times over the past about certain company's / charity status, I was suspicious about. I sent it several times to trading standards as they didn't do anything and then after I quoted it again they came back with the reply then they told me they could do something and did. Obviously courts can issue arrest warrants for witnesses if there is public interest to do so and clearly, however, most witnesses aren't compelled to be witnesses. But on top of this, is there any power to arrest a signifcant witness who has witnessed a very serious crime but who doesn't want to help, won't give details and just wants to clear off? I can't think of any but in the circumstances where a witness to a murder wants to make off and not help I'd be suspecting he was involved so, I suppose, I'd consider arresting him for an offence relating to the murder.

Hey guys, I'm new here & just had a question. Basically in September 2009 I received a reprimand for getting into a fight. I was 14 years old. I accepted the reprimand because the police officer assured me that it would come off my record completely at 18, and would be wiped off the PNC. However I went to the Police today and they told me there was a law change in October 2009, a legislation or something which stated that all cautions/reprimands stay on your record forever. The lady at the desk didn't have any information about whether it applied to me because I received my reprimand before that date. I was wondering whether anyone here could help me out? It can't be …

so an ex of my boyfriends creating an account taking my identity and harrassing me and my boyfriend so i had contacted her boyfriend telling him of what she has been doing now both her and her boyfriend are giving my boyfriend an ultimadium to pay them money or they will kill him i need help on what to do according to this matter. we have keep records of everything except the account she made on me is now deleted but there are witnesses to that account. please help me

Just a question, since this concerned myself and a retired Met Skipper whom I am friends with. Whilst looking at the latest crime fiction in my local library, I thought I saw a copper. It wasn't, it was a thuggish chap, wearing a stab vest, sporting handcuffs, an Airwave, what appeared to be pepper spray and something that look identical to a baton. I've been in a relationship with my fella for over 18 months now who has three daughters in their 20's They have always caused minor problems for us, but i've been able to handle it. Evening all, I'm looking for the law/regulation that states a Test Pass Certificate (car) is only valid for two years, i have found plenty of sites such as direct gov which validate this fact, but none which give the actual law/reg. I believe, this changed at some point in the 2000's (don't quote me on this) as i'm sure before then, it was either valid indefinately/for a much longer period. However, i may have completely imagined that part and for all i know test passes could be valid for 2 years since the 1960's. Are solicitors generally immune from the provisions of: The Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and/or The Malicious Communications Act 1988 ? I'm thinking in the context of a solicitor writing to a 3rd party, on behalf of his client, in a manner which: - causes distress or anxiety - makes threats that the solicitor knows (or ought to know) are legally false or unenforceable

Any suggestions surrounding the act if kirb crawling....any offences.....and such? I've seen a vehicle around a centre area numerous time on a Friday night Saturday morning around the same Times, just as the clubs and pubs kick out. A few time the drivers slowed right down as into stopping when I've been walking home from duties hence my taking note of it. I am planning on going on duty later and my plan is to find this vehicle and see what its doing in the area.

I am aware as with all driving offences its much more difficult if you cannot stop the driver at that time. I was off duty driving my own car with partner in the car. Two 'boy racers' in front, one made a 'safe' overtake. The one behind overtook on a long sweeping bend, a car oncoming, I have never seen such a close shave. Nearly a head on, I had slammed my brakes on to get WAYYYY away from them if they were going to crash. Luckily it was wide enough road for the on coming car to swerve over. When trying to deal with people on the street I've often had to shoo away onlookers who get too close and start to ask questions or interfere whilst I'm dealing with someone. Generally these are just drunks and stern words have so far been sufficient to send them on their way. I've not yet had the uncomfortable experience of someone unrelated to an incident trying to film it. However, I was thinking about the impact that filming may have on people giving details, and the stage where it would become obstruction.
