A new trend amongst pedal cyclists particually in the city is to afix a camera to their helmets in order to record any incidents or near misses with other road users as an asset for them if they ever had to go to court or prove liability to insurers so my question is, say you've stopped a cyclist who you've stopped for cycling down the wrong way down a one way street or a similar offence and upon going through the FPN proceedure they make it very clear they will take it to court. As above, if you are trying to deal with someone and they run from you, would you arrest for resist/obstruct constable? Specifically I'm talking about: 1) When you are about to search them and they run, even if you subsequently find nothing on them. 2) When you are planning to arrest them for another offence and they run, when you catch them, do you arrest just for the original offence or stick them on for obstruct too?

So I was at work today when a Scottish officer rang and I am in southern England. He said that on said date, a person will be coming into the station (in England) to be interviewed (non custodialy) and may result in him being arrested. I've come across a man on an auction site selling illegal animal cruelty videos of activities that are banned in the UK. They seem to be amateur vids on homemade DVDs. I want to know how I report this and to who, because he needs to be found and prosecuted as these guys are usually part of a gang that film these things when they do those illegal activities. It's to do with hunting foxes and badgers with lurchers, lamping, coursing and baiting activities. Heya Guys I just need some general info on law regarding motorbikes, right I want to get a small 100cc scooter as a form of transport but I need to know what legally do i need to do before i am able to drive it on road. Sorry for the topic, but after using the search feature I couldn't find a definitive answer. I've read up that you can film the police in public places but is there any law which can make you stop recording if the police officer asks you to? e.g: If the police officer says; "I do not consent to be on that video recording." Hi I have a question I need help with if someone out there can. Just over a month ago (around midnight) me and a friend got stupidly drunk in our high street. Hi I am desperate for some solid advice. I have messed ip big time. In June I stole makeup from Tesco, I got caught and was given a fixed penalty. I had a clean record and have never been in trouble before. I have mental health problems but an trying so hard to get my life together and have a career. I fear this is ruined now. My mother is a diagnosed schizophrenic, well known to the police, as she was homeless for two decades. Hi all in 2009 march 11 I got convicted of a dr10 long story short I had just been defrauded of 30 k from my savings I had 17 pounds to my name ! I had a few wine glasses then stoped on the way home , got a 9 month ban and 100 pound fine . Dvla says my ban will reflect for 11 years , how long will it be till my conviction is spent ? Something to think about! This was something I witnessed last night, walking to the local shop...as you do. I saw a man riding his bicycle on the road, but he was walking his dog which was happily jogging along beside him. The dog was on a lead which was being held by the cyclist. I was just wondering how many offences could realistically have been committed here! Disclaimer already noted!

After watching some cop shows recently, I was struck by the sheer number of cannabis warnings that must get issued (and having looked at some of the statistics, the number is huge!), even where the offender in question has plenty of previous convictions (e.g. possession of class A, etc.). I was wondering why it is that cannabis warnings exist and how these differ from a caution that would ordinarily be given at a station for another offence? My understanding had also been that you could only be issued such a warning once, but am sure I've seen a couple of occasions where the individual was given one again -- is it more that you can only be given one in a fixed period of…
