Paintings commissioned under Geoff Hoon could be sold off for charity. Eight paintings commissioned under Geoff Hoon, the former Defence Secretary, to adorn the Ministry of Defence headquarters could be sold and the money given to Armed Forces charities. Liam Fox, the Defence Secretary, has openly criticised Hoon's decision to commission £272,000 worth of modern artwork for the walls of Whitehall between 2004 and 2006 describing it as a "frivolous project". He said it was particularly "out of touch" to spend funds on art while troops were suffering from equipment shortages in war zones and decrepit housing at home An MoD source said: "Selling the pa…

Topic. I want to phone the HQ of WWE in America to enquire about their travel packages to Wrestlemania 26 in Atlanta next April, I've looked on Google but I can't seem to find the International dialling code for the USA (and no, I don't suck at Googling). Anyone help? (Inappropriate Comment Removed by MOD)

I find it often annoying that so many place one of those three words in the topic in the wrong place. Sad of me to get annoyed over that when my grammar is far from perfect. So several sentences, all need the blanked out part to be replaced by one of those three words. (Try not to Google it) Many times she tried to connect the wiring but found ................. were no hooks to attached to them. Why they were over ............. i have no idea, but they were and we should abide by ............... rules. To stop the traffic said HATO placed the cones over ................... . Why are ............ so many ashtrays in the room when no one has ................ cigar…

Please spare 5 minutes of your time to sign the petition, . Hi All. PLEASE can you all sign this petition for soldiers rank pensions at the link below and pass on to all of your friends and families. For those of you who don't know Sgt Matty Telford, he was killed 3rd Nov 2009 by a rogue Afghan Policeman. You will no doubt all remember him from the news at the time. The army have given his family his pension at a "Corporal's" rate because he was a SGT for less than a year. The unfairness of this is that he was promoted so he could do this job in Afghan and had he not been promoted he would have been doing a different job and may well have still been with u…

Afternoon everyone, I was wondering what Police related books you all recommend, I have recently finished reading 'Terror Cops' by DS Harry Keeble which was probably one of the best books I've read in years, an exceptionally good read if you are interested in the SB side of the job. I've also read the wasting Police time series and a Fair Cop. I've considered getting the authorized history of the MI5, but it looks like a very intense read, anybody got it? I'm also interested in a lot of Special Forces books if you can recommend some. Regards, Sam.

A dutch city held a party for Ginger Tops only. Thousands descended on the city for a day of fun and games. GND would not have felt out of place, along with the Duchess of Pork, and Chris Evans.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1309632/2-burglars-killed-train-fled-stealing-40k-jackets.html There doesn't seem to be much sympathy for these two. Is it ever worth dying for a few quids worth of jackets, which on the black market would have fetched a sixteenth of their true value.

We all know not to speed or drink drive, but there are a bunch of other rules from around the world that almost can’t be explained. Some are local custom, some are because of quirks in the regional infrastructure, while others simply defy logic. When travelling, you’d best keep some of these more obtuse rules in mind, lest you be fined or thrown in the slammer! http://motoring.ninemsn.com.au/showroom/glance/7957649/worlds-craziest-road-rules

Considering whats anticipated to happen to the Police (the potential attack on pensions), do you think we should vote for the right to strike. How would you vote?

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/198272/MPs-to-debate-phone-hacking-row NuLabour are trying to make political capital over this phone tapping incident. Bit rich coming from Labour with their 'cash for honours', WMD dossier, Mandy's twice sacking, Blunketts Nanny's visa sacking etc etc. Baby Bercow has given in and allowed a debate in parliament, mainly because that Grubby little twerp in Y fronts, Chris Bryant, is worried some of his voice mails have been listened to. Is he worried we may find out something we may not like. John Yates did a good job infront of Vaz and his cohorts, especially that pompous arrogant AH, Winnick. I just hope the Mets will not waste t…

http://interneteyes....M,1B3UZX,LPBG,1 Internet Eyes Detecting Crime As It Happens Shoplifting is at its highest recorded levels, £4.88 billion a year according to the Centre for Retail Research. Internet Eyes has been designed to combat this rise by detecting these crimes as they happen. Turns out they want money for this idea. http://interneteyes....nity/index.html . So it`s how to make money off of crime. Something here seems wrong to me. For the pleasure of sitting at computer all day, i pay moneys to these people, and as the man says in the promotion http://interneteyes.co.uk/index.html No one is looking at the monitors attached to the cameras. I am guessing …

Refraction action: Stunning rainbow caught in trail of F-22 fighter jet It looks like a fancy new special smoke effect that would put the the Red Arrows' simple colours to shame. But this spectacular photograph is simply a remarkable fluke of nature when all the components that were needed to create this kaleidoscope effect were suddenly present. Keen plane spotter Bernardo Malfitano took the shot and was stunned when he saw the incredible rainbow pouring from behind the F-22 fighter jet. The picture was taken at the Miramar Air Show in San Diego, California in 2008. It has only emerged now because it has just won second prize in the Museum of Flight's…
