Just thought I'd start a thread for those that want to make up Xmas avatars (based on their existing ones), or if you are anything like Damsel you may just want to put pure smut into your avatar instead! To get the ball rolling, here are my avatars... Before: After: The owner of the best avatar will get a nice shiny award added to their profile (or the person who created it for them, if it was made by someone else), which will be decided by means of a vote nearer to Christmas itself. Have fun!

I wonder if anyone can enlighten me about this probably inconsequential matter. I am in a GMT + 2 time zone but the Police Forum web pages always show one hour ahead of GMT - OK during BST but a bit puzzling to me now it's GMT. Are PF's servers based in Europe?

When i was just a wipper snapper there was only 3 channels on the telly and when i went round to my nans for sunday lunch we had to watch whatever was on and on most sundays a Norman Wisdom film was on!He was so funny and the last thing you would expect was an amazing singing voice as well.A true entertainer. The British star had been a resident at the Abbotswood Nursing Home on the Isle of Man. In a statement, his family said: "Over the last six months Norman has sustained a series of strokes causing a general decline in both his physical and mental health. "He had maintained a degree of independence until a few days ago. However, over the last few days his condition …

I have the set of 3 Scottish police practice papers from policepracticepapers.co.uk. You get the Info handling papers 1-4, Numbers paper 1-6 and the Language papers 1-4. They are the most recent editions of the books and they cost £14.99 each or i think if you buy 3 its about £40. I have only written on the Language paper 1 test and its in pencil so i will erase it before sending and papers 1 and 2 of the Info Handling tests, again in pencil so i will erase it. These are great for studying for the SETS if you are a bit rusty and they helped me pass the SET first time. Asking price is £15 collected from Falkirk area or £20 posted Cheers

HMS Invincible to be sold for scrap on eBay-style auction website The aircraft carrier HMS Invincible, which was Britain's flagship vessel in the Falklands war, has been put up for sale as scrap metal on an auction website similar to eBay. The Ministry of Defence is hoping to sell the vessel which was also used in the Balkans and Iraq. But after being decommissioned in 2005 after 32 years of service, the government is hoping to raise money by selling the shell of the vessel. Rea…

I've lifted this from a post on Police Oracle Forum but think the message is clear. T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE, IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE, MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE. I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY, WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,AND TO SEE JUST WHO, IN THIS HOME, DID LIVE. I LOOKED ALL ABOUT, A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE, NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS, NOT EVEN A TREE. NO STOCKING BY MANTLE, JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND, ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES, OF FAR DISTANT LANDS. WITH MEDALS AND BADGES, AWARDS OF ALL KINDS, A SOBER THOUGHT, CAME THROUGH MY MIND. FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT, IT WAS DARK AND DREARY, I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER, ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY. …

Classic, The Speaker of the House shows who's the Daddy in the Chamber! Watch Here!

Apparently James Naughtie made a bit of a faux pas at 8 this morning when mentioning the Culture secretary, James Hunt's surname!!! Obviously, Auntie Beeb has only put out the apology for us to listen to. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11925556

Hi there, just a quickie for Sky viewers that from February, the EPG for 101, 103 and 106 will swap to the HD variant, this means on BBC One a loss of regional services, on ITV 1 a lack of local news for viewers in Wales, Anglia, West Country (That is the ITV West Country region, not the Westcountry, so no spelling mistakes) and the Tyne Tees and Border regions, you will instead receive Meridian in the south, Central in the Midlands and Granada in the North, Viewers in London will get London Tonight and no real changes on Sky 1. You might think this is random but it might confuse you in Feb when you try and watch your local news and it's not available: If you want to wat…
