Metropolitan Police (London)

Just a quick one for the met officers out there. I have had numerous officers say yes the met can report for fare evasion and numerous say no they can not. Can anyone shed any light on yes or no? It comes under section 5 3a of the railway regulations act, so is not a railway byelaw therefore the met should have the power to do it, but some have said they do not? Anyone know for definite? Thanks in advance

Anyone on here currently undertaking or enrolled on the CKP? How are you finding it etc?

I found on Youtube a training video of a team of SFOs abseling down from an unmarked helicopter, landing on top of the old residential apartments at Hendon Police training site. They also abseiled from the top of the old residential apartments, down to the ground. Have a look. This was taken 5 days ago. This will interest those who want to join SFOs one day. This is not something many will see often. You can't join the team if you have vertigo.

So who would be up for a ride out on Monday 6th May?

Afternoon All. After a roll around and a chase a beat duty helmet was duly lost. Could someone please PM me the contact details for uniform services.

I've got my JRFT tomorrow! obviously very nervous about the bleep test. Been practising with a met police app for the last 2 weeks, managed to get to 5.4 and 5.5 a few times, however I did my last test earlier today and couldn't get past 4.5! Now I'm extremely disheartened and in a complete panic that I suddenly can't do it! I don't know what's wrong with me?! I know I can get to 5.4 because I've done it before. I feel like I've hit 'the brick wall' that everyone talks about. I need tips/encouragement on: - jogging technique (I slap my feet on the floor). - lactic acid build up. - how to push through 'the brick wall' and pick up the pace. - motivation (The thought of…

Hello I'm being posted to PL as a SC in August and have a few questions I wonder if anyone could answer. 1) what's car parking like? 2) do specials have lockers? 3) does Lewisham nick have a gym? Cheers HD

Is it true that the regulars will not be involved in helping to run the Specials now? Is it true that now all our training will be with other Specials. My friend tells me that Specials will now be signing off the worksheets. Will we ever get to work regularly with regulars now. Or is that a thing of the past? Can anyone help?

Just a good luck to those MET candidates sitting there Inspectors boards this weekend.

Afternoon, I resigned from being a special constable last October. I am currently trying to sort out a tax rebait for last tax year, however myself or revenues has recieved a p45 from the mayors office. I need the p45 to prove that I earned nothing in my time working. Anyone know how I'd go around doing this? Cheers!

Ive heard a rumour (from a not so reliable source) that met cadets have a simpler way into specials at the moment. I wanted to check whether any of you (particularly cadet staff) know if there is any truth in this and what the proccess may be. I suspect that it isnt true, and if it isnt do you think it might be a decentish idea?

Dear all, Please may I respectfully point out to MSC officers who are IPS that is now a recruitment opportunity to join the Specialist and Economic Crime Command. Details on MSConline under the folder "Deployment policies, news & announcements". Matt.

Apologies if this has already be posted but i am new to this. In terms of Specials training, what days is it on? I understand there is an intensive course, but as i work that would not be possible for me. The weekend training would be best for me, but can someone inform if it is just Sunday, or it is Saturday and Sunday? Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to know what station PCs parade out of for the following boroughs: Hounslow Richmond Kingston Hammersmith and Fulham Hillingdon Merton. Many thanks
