Hi, has anyone else had issues before trying to get through to the numbers provided in the email to book onto a training course, I tried ringing before their closing time.

Hi i was hoping if someone who knew more about A/L entitlement in the MET (more to do with PCSO's etc) can help me with this question? I was wondering if annual leave can be block booked i.e. to take the full annual leave entitlement in one go, or 3 weeks in one go i.e. April 1st - 21st, or is the maximum period that can be booked >2 weeks? Thanks

Hi I have just been accepted onto the Met training course for new specials. I had heard that SPecial recieve free travel on TFL run transport. However when I was readying through the policy it stated that you have to of served at least 200 hours in the preceeding year. Does this mean that you dont get free travel until you have served a year or does that only apply for the second year onwards?

As title says. Can't find it on this forum.

During training, I saw one of the trainers with a coffee (or tea?) mug, which had "MET Police" logo (standard white on blue) with words "Police Officer's Mug" on one side and "In God we trust, everyone else is a suspect" on the other. I've been trying to find where I can buy one like this but so far to no avail. I know I can "create my own" at any photo-printing service, but I would need a high def image of the MET logo for that. Plus, if I could buy a ready-made one, it would probably be cheaper. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey all, I have had my training dates confirmed as the 3 June - 3 July intensive course and today my final reference was sent back to HR and they have confirmed receipt of this. I have seen talk of the 'big text letter' or some such communiqué... When can I expect to hear next from HR or anyone for that matter? Thanks.

CAN ANYONE ACTUALLY TELL ME IF THERE ARE ANY DOCUMENTS (OTHER THEN ID) OR FORMS I NEED TO BRING IN ON THE FIRST DAY?

Part of our training included talking to witnesses and completing witness statement forms (MG11 if I remember correctly). The idea is that we talk to the witness, get the info from them, then write it, from the witness's name, as a proper story. At the end, the witness would read what we wrote and sign it as being correct. This then becomes part of the case. So far so good. Now, quite a few of us (including myself) speak other languages. Depending on what borough you are on, you may have more or less changes of actually talking to witnesses who speak those other languages. It wouldn't be a stretch to imagine a situation where your witness doesn't really speak Englis…

After a long long long long long time has been spent researching a borough that has stations close to a tube, that is closeish to wembley but isn't brent...I have come up with eaither Barnet or Southwark as posible boroughs to work in. Anyone here work in eaither? Good...bad? Thanks in advance!

I was watching the BBC news where they were reporting from NSY. It looked like they have rebuilt the wall and painted it blue and moved the sign?
