Good morning, Apologies if this has already been asked...However i have pasesd my stage one and two assessments and am now at the Manager Review stage, what does this mean? Also how long from this stage will it be until i receive my training dates? I'm very excited to start!

Who else here actually think the future for the MSC actually seems better than previously thought? With the introduction of LPM and LPT's it seems we would have many more chances to intergrate and carry out lots of policing tasks and work with many units on borough (from what I heard about it) and along with the new set up for the MSC OCU with it being self sufficient and running itself , not some fat reg sitting behind a desk at NSY... It seems good because someone who knows the uniqueness of the MSC inside out would be able to run it. Who knows... Maybe we get the OSG back one day? Lots of driving and Public order courses for us? I recently recieved a stack of form 3205's and some information from my new borough ready for when I finish training... I noticed for a set amount of hours (eg 8hours) we claim a set amount of money (eg £9.61) according to how many hours. I also noticed we don't provide reciepts. So a few questions: (a) Do you claim anyway even if you haven't spent any money on food? (b) Do you claim if you HAVE spent money but less than the set amount? © How does this work for Finance/Logica? How can they audit/verify if you don't need to submit and subsequently retain receipts? do meaning can you

Hey there all, So today I decided to take the Overground train in London. When I have been let through, the staff member at the barrier told me this interesting thing that just happened few minutes before I arrived. Apparently there is a man using an Lithuanian 'Police Warrant Card' (in the same black wallet as the Met) to travel for free. He argued with the staff member who told him clearly that his warrant card is not valid on the UK Public Transport. He eventually let him through. Hi, I am also like many of you in the belief that there is a high chance that the METS will recruit externally in the coming months. Today, the BTP have announced they are also recruiting externally. Would anybody be able to assist in confirming if i am allowed to apply for both forces at the same time and if i do, will the MET decline me if by chance they do recruit? Some home forces allow this to happen yet there is not much information as to whether the MET do and i am far to impatient to wait for 10am tomorrow to ask thanks :new_yummy:

So what is the Borough Support Unit? (probably have different names for it on each of your boroughs) and what do you do on it? Do we work with them as MSC? or is it just regs. I came across the term reading something but not a clue what it is

Hi everyone, im new on this forum and have just began my special constable training with the Met Police. I do apologize if this question has been asked on a previous post but i just wanted to know whether i can get a free hepatitis injection through the met police or NHS. Or could i get my money reimbursed through the met police for the shots, if so how? I lost the paper that was given to me during my day 2 assessment for hepatitis injection. Would appreciate the help, thanks

Hi all, I've just been accepted on to the August intensive course which starts on the 12th. I work 4 on 4 off at the moment which means I only have to book off 9 days leave in order to attend all 23 days. But this means I will be working every weekend whilst doing the course bar 1 Saturday. My question is. Will I still be able pass the course, although I won't have much time to dedicate to studing on the weekends? Any one that's has done this intensive course please can you tell me how much work you are expected to do over the weekend? Thank you

So with the high pass rate among the users on this website, i was wondering if anyone had heard what the process for the PLC and conversion course will be like, if it will be the same 16 weeks 1 day a week unpaid and then 3 weeks unpaid conversion, or something to meet the deadline of April 2013. thanks in advance
