Hi all! I know theres a few other topics which include information about Camden in and around other places but I've struggled to find one solely based on it so thought I'd start one! I selected Camden as my borough yesterday and wondered if any of you that work or have experience there could share some information or stories etc. I've heard whispers that MSC is based solely at Holborn Station however I've also heard that under the new policing model some may be heading to Kentish Town? Although this isn't a massive issue as it's just a few more stops on the tube, one of the reasons I chose Camden is due to MSC being based in a 'central' area, I've never been to Kentish…

Does anyone know how long you must have held a full driving licence before being able to undertake level 4? I'm aware it used to be 2 years, however was told that was updated and can't find a new version of the SOP. Cheers.

Hi all, I'm having a bit of difficulty with the online recruitment process, (it doesn't show my application when I try to log in, and no-one is replying to email request for support). I served 1 year as an SC with independent patrol then fill time as a PC for 2 1/2 years - I've just graduated University and will be working in Southwark, I'd hoped to pick up some policing again through the MET as an SC - Is someone able to give me contact information to get the ball rolling? I fear my slightly unusual circumstances will confuse the recruiting system.... Many thanks for any advice,

Hi all, hope everyone is well and good i was watching this youtube video of that incident about the copper that got bitten by a dog in the borough of newham last year and i just wanted to know if any officers have sustained any serious injuries during their time as PC or SC. Have you come close to a potential serious injury and is there any sort of advice or warnings that you think would be beneficial for current and future officers? P.S if there is a similar thread then i have no problems deleting this one but im looking to find topics within the met and london

For those who are interested, today the Met have published the outcome of misconduct hearings online. It's on their website. http://content.met.police.uk/Article/Gross-Misconduct/1400016952285/1400016952285 The type of things staff and officers do that breach the rule are astonishing.

Morning, I'm due to start training quite soon and after that I'll be going to Tower Hamlets. Can anyone tell me a bit about how the borough works. Has the LPM been adopted? What kind of work is a probationer likely to do (response/SNT/LPT etc)? What kind of shift system operates there? All I've been told so far to report for training at Hendon though I was under the impression that training was done in establishments around the Met area. Is that still the case? Thanks

I have recently seen lots of vehicles marked POLICE without the name of the specific police service mentioned. Are these MetVehicles or train police? Is this a new national thing?

Hey guys, I'm currently a probationer officer with a HO force, I have been asked by someone at my force to research the ckp/PKC as they might be interested in looking more into it as a constabulary. Could people who have done it either PM me or reply on here. Looking for a list of colleges that offer it, a copy of syllabus if possible, and length of course, cost etc. Many thanks, Warrior

Having caught the bus on my way home from college today I noticed a man get off the bus wearing a "Met Police Facilities Management" uniform ... isn't there a zero tolerance policy for MPS staff to wear uniform en route work or home?

As matter of fact... are we allowed to wear our uniform on the way to and from a shift ...provided we cover up of course..
After all if say you are attending training or shift in summer and it is hot... can you not wear the shirt and trousers with tie. Once you remove the epaulettes and name badge it looks like you're any other business man... maybe except for the holdall full of stuff but nobody else would …
