Hi there, I've enjoyed lurking on this site for quite a few months now and I think I've finally thought of an excuse to post a topic (since this forum is stuffed full of everything you need to know - if you're willing to search!) I've just succeeded in my Day 2 assessment, and await further information. However, I am curious as to what my result scores were for the Day 1 interview and written. Is it possible to obtain these results on request to HR? Or will they be emailed to me on passing the final stages (vetting etc). I've seen two different topics saying that two different things about clothing for MSC training. i was wondering if you need to wear smart clothing for your training at Hendon, or do you need to wear casual training clothes. one topic said white shirt, black tracksuits and white trainers, another topic said a suit and tie and polished shoes.. very confused :new_doh2: , please can someone clear this up once and for all? any replies appreciated!

Does anyone have the new pay scale? Also do we know if London weighting is going to be taken away for those who don't live in London?

Can I pick the brains of the officers who are on a borough that is in the first LPM group? Under what circumstances are you allowed to work on response team if at all?

Hi folks, new member here. I am completing this new mandatory pre join course (as are many) and wondered if anyone is struggling to fit in what seems like MOUNTAINS of work around their day jobs and family etc? I am spending what seems like every spare hour of the day trying to cram in loads of info and am worried that due to the volunme of work I am not learning topics in as much details as needed.

Anyone who attended heard any news? I did mine on the 18th, no word back yet. How much longer have I got to wait?

Hi all. Just got my letter through confirming my training start date etc and also have a PT dress code letter. The dress code seemed pretty strict so thought I'd check some things with you lovely people. With the tracksuit bottoms it states "plain in appearance", I've got a pair of the standard black adidas tracksuit bottoms, the ones with the 3 white stripes going down the outside of the legs. Are these ok or does that not count as "plain in appearance"? I've got a pair of running trainers, they're silver and blue but not 'in your face'. They'd need a bit of a clean up to be for indoor use but don't want to fork out for some new trainers if I don't have to. What did…

If say I clock off a late shift at a really awkward time where trains and tubes were not running. But I was unable to take a night bus home for whatever reason ( Say for example I'm in an odd borough like Bexley which has no route to where I live (in Ealing) or it's just impractical and takes too damn long to take one!! Is it justified to claim for a Cab or Taxi home from shift/training? and am I likely to get my claim accepted. Say if I decided to take an Addison Lee cab (It just so happens we have a family account with them) Also , my training is based at Victoria from 12th August to 23rd November , If I was to use the cab to get there and back (especially for them 7…

Do most stations have staff parking? I can't imagine everyone can fit their cars in. What about motorbikes? Are there places to store bicycles?

Has anyone decided to take the distance learning option for CKP? If so how does it work? How long will it take to complete?

Do you get an email informing you that the options which you have selected like 1,2 are not available or do you have to do the training then your informed at the end ??

What are the main differences of the STC and the BTP in the Met area because they are both funded by TFL... Is it just that the BTP police the LU and railway network, whilst the STC police the Buses, Minicabs etc?
