I know what the obvious uses of a warrant card are.... - Identify oneself as a Police Officer - Obtain Free travel using TFL and National Rail (NR for regs only, TFL for regs and MSC) - Benefit from force sanctioned discounts But can we use a warrant card as proof of age or Identity? I know of only one place that allows you to use a warrant card and that is Natwest. But say if you are buying an age restricted product , needed to prove your ID (name) for something or needed to prove age to enter a bar or club or buy a drink... would using a warrant card be acceptable , considering you need to be 18 + to be a police officer (and most would be older than 18 anyway) wou…

I'm currently looking at unis and I came across the University of Portsmouth. Now depending on which degree I study with UOP, I could become a student of the Institute of criminal justice studies. <br /><br />I've noticed that students of this school st the uni can take the PLC (Police and law certificate) along with thier course... I will hold back from copying the email into this forum because I am not sure on the rules...? (anyone who is MSC, either training or attested should have it anyway I guess but for the purpose of those who are not yet through the application process it might be helpful - if a mod could let me know?) So the email suggests that the Met are looking to mainly recruit from the MSC into the regs? It asks about motivations for joining the regs and if there is any speciic assistance they could provide during the recruitment process, This seems to contradict the recent rumours that it will be harder to become a reg if you are a special as the recruitment drive will focus on exte…

Hi, I have few questions about the beep test on day two - I'm trying to practice for it and want it to be as realistic as poss! When we warm up to level 3 - does that include level 3 eg 3.1, 3.2 etc? or does it stop at 2.7? And do we start the actual beep test straight after or do we get a rest? Hello all, I was just wondering if anybody had heard anything about MSC-PC Day 1's? Like has anybody been given their day 1 yet? I got sent a registration form which I filled in and sent back last week but have heard nothing since, anyone else in a similar situation?
