Hi all, I am new to this forum. I start my Specials training with Kent Police on 10th December. Having been a Special before with Hertfordshire Police I cannot wait to start. Is anyone else starting their training on this date?

Hello! I've just received news that I've gotten through to the final senior interview next week... I'm so excited and nervous! I'm just wondering if there is anybody else who has taken this interview and if they have any tips of what it is going to be like? I'm trying to prepare myself but i'm not entirely sure of the questions they're going to ask. Any help will be appreciated :-) thanks!

Hi, are there any posters on here who work in the area of Gravesend/Northfleet? I've recently moved to the area and this is where I'll be based. Any information and advice would be appreciated. Ta very much.

So just a quick one. I'm always told I worry about everything. I'm starting my PC training next month on October 24th but I'm starting to worry about where I'll be sent upon completion. I am currently a special constable based at a station which is 7 miles from home. This would be the first choice. Second choice I've got is a station 12 miles from home. They're the only locations I know as I'm not from the area. My third choice would probably be Canterbury which is 28 miles away. This feels a little bit to far. Does anyone have any experience in this and how do they normally work out where to position people? My first choice appears to have had a fair few new recruits …

Not going to lie, but I don't think you can fully prepare for the assessment day! However, I did give it my best on the day, but now looking back I know I could of done better. Now I have to wait a grueling 2 weeks to be told my result! However I am 100% sure I failed.

Hi Guys, So today I had my briefing and I was given my date for my assessment. Its a month away! I am reading up as much as I can over the next 4 weeks. I have various books etc but can anyone give me any hint or tips so `I am successful? What is the role play like? did you use 'the westshire centre?' Whats the maths test like? what areas does it cover most? and the written tests, what does that entail? Thank you for any help in advance

Hi all, I'm starting training on 15th August and I would like to continue to improve my fitness after I have joined. Rather than signing up for an expensive gym where I live I wondered if you are allowed to use the gym (if there is one) at the college? If so, is it restricted to certain times and do you have to pay for it? I've also seen that if you join the KRPA you have access to various gyms around the county, but I can't find a definitive list of them? Any ideas? Finally, I've heard about the infamous Tuesday morning fitness sessions at the college during training. Is this an early morning optional thing, or is this part of the training? I'll do it rega…
