Hi everyone, wondering if I can get some help. I've had my GP fill out my medical history to send to occupational health and he has included every time I have ever been to the GP. There are a few instances when I used to do a lot of sport such as martial arts that I've gone in to to get a referral for a physio, but these are a number of years ago and I still play rugby with no ongoing problems at all. It was rretty standard for the kind of sport/level I was doing. My main concern is that around 4 years ago in 2011 I had mumps at university and was diagnosed with post viral fatigue after. I got this mainly to show the uni as I needed to resit my exams as I had been conta…

So I thought it might be a little interesting to start a thread where people can share their training experience. I'd like it if this thread could provide information on everyone's experience in training and possibly share a dairy of their training so can we try and include the following in the post. First applied. Date started training. Position, I.e. SC, PC, PCSO etc Your training diary i.e. day to day activities, things you liked and disliked etc

Having just been told I'm successful at the application stage and through to the interview for the fast track to inspector programme I thought I would start a thread for anyone else also successful. If you have been successful with your application also share your experience so far here. Maybe someone who attended the 2014 fast track interviews could give us some advice on what sort of things to expect.

I've done about 10 neighbourhood shifts up to now and none response. Still waiting to have my first blue light run! Just a question for those who have done response before... what tips would you give in terms of being first on scene? I've dealt with loads of people after crimes have happened (grade 2/3), however that's not that same as turning up as the incident is still ongoing and adrenaline for everyone involved is still sky high. Any advise or tips would be much appreciated!

Thanks Jack

Does anyone know how long gmp normally take with their background checks?
-
Hi, I have recently applied to the specials in Greater Manchester, it was early April. I was wondering how long anybody knows it normally takes and should I give them a call to see what status my application is under or is that not the way to go about it. GMP have a portal where you can check the status but it's been under review for over 2 months now.
