Hey everyone this is my first post on here, I've been watching on here for a while, but never contributed. Has anybody heard back with their results from June's AC? I heard back today with a pass! :o) Not a great fan of my results, but a pass is a pass I suppose. Pretty nearvous about the formal interview, which is odd, I never get nearvous over things like that! Cheers Mike

Hi, i start at Sedgley Park on 16th March, i am a competitive bodybuilder currently dieting for a competition in May. I was wondering what the rules are about eating whilst in training. I have more sense than to turn up on my first day and start barking orders as to when i want to eat but i was wondering if the staff would be able to help me out a bit. Ideally i need a meal (which takes about 10 minutes to eat) every 2 hours so i was hoping to eat at say 09:45, 11:45, 13:45 and 15:45 then get my next meal when i get back home. would i get away with this or should i just hang up my posing trunks now?! James

Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone knows when GMP are next doing a recruitment drive for the regulars? I suffered a bad injury about 18 months ago which unfortunately meant I had to postpone my application. However, after some long, hard rehabilitation I am now ready to apply again. I just wanted to know if anyone knew roughly when the recruitment drive may be. Cheers.

Hello, I have my medical on the 18th June 2009 and do alot of sport, so am not a skinny stick. On the weighing machine at the gym, it states that i am over weight for my height, so i am really worried that i will fail the medical based on this. Please can anyone tell me what GMP will fail you on, i.e is it 26? Thank you

Because living in manchester, i see police about as useful as a chocolate radiator, a glass house, a chav...(maybe that least one was a bit TOO offensive) But anyway, for anybody who is in the GMP, and has proof that it is not full of officers who are corrupt, lazy or biased (these may not be mutually exclusive traits) - please do tell, i would like to meet my 1st officer who actually makes a difference, instead of the 10 or so i have met, who are about as pointless as the above mentioned. Also, to fit in another topic (on a good note this time) i want to be a copper - because nobody will go around murdering criminals, and being a sadistic vigilante literally cleaning u…

Can anyone share their experiences with the A/C part of the recruitment process with me? I know the format and how the day is put together, but as I have never done one before, wondered if anyone could pass on some tips or advice? Would be very grateful.

You may have noticed that UKPOLICEONLINE is blocked on GMP's IT systems. The only reason for that is that they block any forum style websites that get a fair bit of traffic - we're not allowed to have any fun even if it is work related! Anyway, this may cause issues if you are trying to arrange Resident Fed status for the site as e-mails to us from your GMP address may get flagged. To avoid any problems with that feel free to PM me and I'll get back to you with details of how you can contact me directly to verify that you are in the job.
