Hello, I am back on this website and this time more determined. I failed my attempt in joining police Scotland but wont let this get me down. I decided to try and apply for the CNC Police. Has anyone here worked or work there. What would be the process? I have set tests which were for a police officer, would the same tests be applied joining the CNC ? If someone can explain the process that would be really helpful? The fitness test is slightly harder but I will work harder to achieve it. Thank you om advanced

Hi all, Firstly fantastic forum, very helpful down to earth people on here. I was wondering is someone could clear up a query I have (since HR services seem inundated queries it's talking a while for them to get back) . I've been invited to the assessment centre (undisclosed date unfortunately), so decided to get a jump start on prepping. Is the CNC assessment centre different to SEARCH? Reason I ask , I've heard a few rumours of a firearms segment, but nothing concrete. Also for my own curiosity, is there any other ex- forces in the process of joining or joined? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, Steersy

Having read a few bits I just want to check is the pay really 22k for the first two years of joining? Just wondering as the website says it is but the CNC pay policy says it isn't. Anyone able to confirm?

Hi All, Just received news that I’ve been progressed to the next stage with my application, the telephone interview. Does any have information of what the three questions you are asked? I’ve been revising the AFO profile I was sent and researching the CNC as a whole, any further information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Does every one live near your site's or do you live in a B&B / shared accommodation on the days you're on shift and go back home on your off day's.

Hi Guys, Has anyone heard on their applications for Harwell, I phoned HR once only(as like everyone had the email not to call) and they were a little vague, just saying that priority sites are the first ones to get looked at. My app went in May, I know that nearly all sites are recruiting but seems to me the sites like Harwell are only recruiting a few officers were like sellafield are recruiting lots! Is anyone in the same boat as me?

Hi All, I am new to this forum and it has already helped out a great deal with lots of questions I had to ask, but, I was wondering if anyone else applied in December 2016?? I have had one email asking for confirmation of my tattoo's and to send details/pictures, I haven't had any correspondence since. I have tried calling HR numerous times to no avail. Has anyone had any further correspondence regarding assessment days etc? Max

What would happen if the CNC attempted to stop and search a vehicle but the person attempted to evade the CNC and was able to go as far enough to go over the 5km radius? Would they (CNC) be required to stop and pass details over to the local territorial police force, or are they allowed to continue to pursue. (I will leave reasons to do a stop and search for your own imagination (although I understand if the CNC Officers believe that materials has been unlawfully removed from the site then they can pursue to recover it)).
