Hi, typically what are the start and finish times for shifts within the BTP in London? Is there a shift pattern? How does it line up with the last trains out of London? Any help would be appreciated

Hi guys, As the current recruitment focus is on B Div, particularly inner London, I'm considering adding London as a choice to speed up my waiting time - it's been nearly a year now. I'm going to have to move regardless, so I don't really mind where, and with C Div pretty much at establishment, it could be a long wait for my current choices still. I've spoken to HR and they've said that accommodation is not provided for B Div postings and you're expected to relocate yourself in time to commence training. Is there any way around this? I live over 300 miles away from London so commuting from home is obviously out of the question, and I wouldn't be able to afford t…

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone had any information on likely intakes for new officers? I have been in the holding pool since Mar 2020. I would prefer not to badger the recruitment team. Especially since they advised not to in the Oct 20 email. Apparently there is a WhatsApp group aswell?

Can anyone please shed any light upon the accommodation provided for student police officers in London, during their initial training? Is it at Spring House (where the assessments were) or is it elsewhere? Also, what type is it? Dorm style, or en-suite private bedroom style? How long are you expected to use it for, cost etc. This would be incredibly helpful, as recruitment don't seem to be in a mood to divulge anything currently. Thanks.

Good evening all , i am new here and not quite sure if I am posting correctly but seek advice on the btp vetting process please. I would like to know how thorough they check as they are taking a longer time than expected . And if anyone else has any experience of their vetting process I have basically been offered a response role as a transferee conditional to the usual checks and medical. I have had my 10 year vetting completed last year with my current force too but obviously they need to run their checks . Any help would be most appreciated S

Good afternoon, I have received my formal offer and start my training on 26th July 2021, the recruitment process has been pretty smooth for me so far and I cannot wait to get started. Just wondering if anyone else is on the same intake as me and if anyone has any useful advice for my first few weeks training? I have purchased Altbergs Peacekeeper Safety Boots and contemplating purchasing the Blackstone's Handbook for Policing Students? Any advice welcomed. Thanks, Sarah

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of what a BTP medical is for a potential student officer (PC)? Is it a comprehensive check by a medical professional, or just your local GP signing off, or self-certifying form filler? Thanks.

Hi all. There appears to be a number of us here who are going through the recruitment process for this year's intake...Therefore, thought it best to set up this thread to discuss anything you want to regarding it. Regards.

Hello, looking for advice and tips from officers that have been through the Scottish side of training with BTP. I am in the conditional pool with recruitment team giving a prospective intake of April 2021, I applied in January 2020. As I am going to be based in Scotland, the training will be in Scottish Police College in Tulliallan, where Police Scotland are trained. I would like to know how you found it, are you training with PScot officers aswell or will it be seperate? BTP state the training is 21 weeks, however PScot are only in the college for 11 weeks (as their website states), why is that? The rail part of the training, is this conducted on station? I would l…
