http://www.bbc.co.uk...ngland-17498439 makes you sick when they only have to pay back £1, and feel sorry for the people who have lost a lot more.

Today 2 civilians, Southampton City Council leader Royston Smith and chief executive Alistair Neill, plus Lt Cdr Ian Molyneux have received the George Cross for helping subdue and disarm the killer on the HMS Astute as it was docked in Southampton. I dont mean to detract from their achievement but there have been quite a few other people over the years who might of deserved the GC but did not get awarded it. The main one being the 7/7 attacks when people selflessly went into the danger zone to help the wounded. I dont think any of them were awarded anything.

Some of the things that otherwise rational human beings seem to believe really make my mind boggle sometimes. Some of the beliefs are so outlandishh or bizarre that I find it hard to believe that people don't just accept that the mundane, and credible, explanation is the most logical one. Sometimes is big things - like the moon landing - how many people would have had to have been sworn to secrecy (and maintained it for over 40 years) and/or killed to keep that one quiet? But sometimes, more worryingly, it's things closer to home that actually affect our day jobs: such as whenever someone dies in custody/is shot by police..... there are people outthere who think we are …

I suppose it was only a matter of time! Missed rent payments could cost you a mortgage, loan, credit card, or indeed a new tenancy agreement. Credit reference agency Experian, one of three such firms that hold information on your payment history, has today announced by late 2012 "several million" people will start to see rent payments on their credit file, which is used by banks and building societies when deciding whether to lend you money. You could even fall foul of a flatmate being late with payment, if you've signed a joint tenancy agreement. But by the same token, if you make payments on time, it will boost your rating and hence your chances of getti…

i saw this on a SKY news bulletin : Armed Guards For UK Ships Amid Pirate Threat http://uk.news.yahoo.com/armed-guards-uk-ships-amid-pirate-threat-105534327.html TRANSCRIPT: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Armed guards are to be deployed on British ships to protect them from pirates, Prime Minister David Cameron has announced. The Prime Minister said the radical action was needed to combat the increasing threat of Somali pirates which he …

A year ago they begged for Britain’s help when Colonel Gaddafi’s tanks encircled their city, threatening annihilation. Now former Libyan rebels in Benghazi – liberated with the aid of the RAF last March – have systematically desecrated the graves of more than 150 British servicemen killed in North Africa 70 years ago. Headstones at the Benghazi War Cemetery have been torn down and crucifixes smashed with hammers by a mob of extremists, some carrying guns and dressed in combat fatigues. Desecrated: The headstones commemorating the deaths of Allied servicemen, who fought in the Western Desert campaigns between 1942 to 1943, lay smashed on the ground Mo…
