Wanted some opinions with this. It's something that's been going on since Oct of 2006, but i'll keep it as short as I can. I live in a place called Grimsby, which until recent had a low profile but now has some of the worst crime stats in ENG. I had some neighbours move in next door which were known to be trouble from another street. They moved from the street that TAKE A BREAK magazine dubbed "The worst address in England". Ever since they moved in it's been a nightmare. They started blasting music out, but after many complaints it reduced. They have gangs on the front of the house constantly (we counted 16 youths). What a pleasing read yesterdays story was on the increase in numbers of Police Community Support Officers. (Over the next 12 months the number is set to soar) I just love the idea that having all these zero tolarance policies (Traffic offences spring to mind) could one day be carried out by these PCSOs instead of police officers, who i feel are over-paid for most of the duties they peform... Bring it on i say!

Just out of interest; If you are waiting at a red light, from behind approaches an ambulance on a blue light and it's directly behind you, i know you should pull out into the junction to clear the way, but what if it's a camera'd box junction or the traffic lights have cameras, will the authorities cancel any fine received as you were acting in good faith?

Hello All, I was wandering if someone could help. I have a 1996 mini that i'm currently restoring. The number plates are quite unique and i think the car would look good with the black style rear plate. However, i am confused over the leagality of these. Could anyone say for sure if they are legal on this age of car? Many Thanks in advance

Hi, was on the bus around Bromley area with my gf a few days ago and this man got on (approx 45-50) who had massive cuts all down his arm - a very large deep one stood out especially as it was still bleeding like crazy. He had multiple deep scars all over his other arm. My gf pointed it out to me and we both felt really sorry for the man, he obviously felt alone, I wanted to help but I didn't know if it was wize :S I thought about giving him my mobile number so that he could call me if he ever wanted to talk - it may of helped. I am 16 years old, there was an incident which happend yesterday involving me and a few mates all 16 and under. A man to the park we were at very agressive attitude and was extremely p'd off. He claimed we threw bricks at his property, he moved towards one of my mates with his fist clenched , my mate took a step back so the bloke couldnt get to him. He then went for another friend of mine at this point i stood infront of my mate as i didnt want him getting hit. Section 29 of the Road traffic Act 1988 states, If a person rides a cycle on a road without due care and attention, or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road he is guilty of an offence. What would happen if the offender was cycling in a inconsiderate fashion coming close to walkers on the pavement. Could he be charged under the same offence? The section states Road and the pavement is not part of the road. However thats only how i understand it Anyone who could offer some help on this case welcomed

Quick, and hopefully easy one for you traffic bods... My car is currently SORN, without MOT. I now have it ready for MOT, but am I allowed to drive it directly to a testing station without Tax and current MOT? Obviously I can not tax it without and MOT! Cheers...

Does any one know the law in relation to someone parking their camper in a lay-by and stopping the night...were talking holiday makers here- nothing else....also,what if they stop, cook a meal, drink bottle of wine then bed down......what's likely hood of getting a drunk in charge....I don't think i'd even consider arresting. Any traffic plod with any viewes?

Actual :- Two traffic officers stop a vehicle for speeding (alleged 91 in a 70 ) They issue the driver with a FPN. The driver does not sign for FPN. Question:- Does he /she need to sign, basically stating he/she is accepting conditions of FPN, or if no signature is asked for, or offered, how does the issue of FPN stand legally. (I realise that two officers were involved, so witness available, but would there be any legal status change if only one officer involved.) Answers on a postcard, or here preferrably. After a recent spate of burglaries and attempted burglaries in my street in Manchester - my girlfriend asked me if when I finish training to be a police officer: would I be allowed to keep spare PPE at home to protect us and our property (and our neighbours property) should anyone attempt to burgle our house or steal our car etc (has happened in the past to us and our next-door neighbours have just had two failed burglary attempts). Im now intrigued to know if it is plausible to keep some PPE - say, a set of cuffs and an asp in a locked box under the bed for emergencies? Good afternoon, In a moment of unrivalled stupidity, I left my iPod next to my locker (rather than in) following a workout at the gym this morning, prior to a swim/sauna/steam room session at my local leisure complex. Upon returning, and after checking my bag, it dawned on what I'd done and such had gone; I asked whether or not it had been handed in, however, as to be expected, there was no sign of it.
