Hi people!! Today I was driving down the road and there was a white Ford Galaxy parked up facing the oncoming traffic. It had 2 cameras suckered onto the windscreen and further up the road there was a motorbike policeman waiting to pull people! Just wondered what this was doing? Matt

I steward at a sports ground. There is a licenced bar but alcohol can not be taken outside the bar area The other week several under 18's were seen passing around a soft drinks bottle. A steward got suspicious and asked to examine the bottle. It contained cider and was confiscated. Normally if we catch adults with alcohol in the stands we confiscate it or they leave with it, but they can get it back at the end. However a club official decided that as these were under 18's we were not going to give them the alcohol back. Which sounds fine to me, but where do we stand legally. We also can't kick them out if they're under 18 as we have a duty of care to them. If anyone ca…

Is it illegal to make drawings on the pavement using pavement chalks? My girls grew up using pavement chalks, and have over the years created a large number of colourful drawings on the pavements around my home, friends houses and the shopping centre. So do numerous other kids. Whilst the artistic quality sometimes leaves a little to be desired, society enjoys these youthful expressions of fun, life and play. Mind you, I brought up my kids in the Netherlands. I sometimes despair of the things I read about the way legislation and policing is going in the UK. Over the past few years a sinister nanny-state mentality seems to be creeping in. Please reassure me.

Say you park over a double yellow line, or dont see a sign saying it is a disabled parking couldn't you be able to drive off before the ticket is placed on the car. For example if the warden is writing the ticket and has not been placed on the car. would you be allowed to remove the car and drive off. And if you are allowed to drive off. What would happen if he obstructed your car would you be able to push him out of the way if he refuses to move or could you run him over? LOL tht would be so jkzzzzzzzz thnx

Hi, I was wondering what is the Police process of investigating an e-mail harassment complaint and how long does it takes to arrest an offender? Also what evidence is required to file such a complaint? Cheers.

Hi my mate had a few run in with the law in 2005 and ended up in Prison for assault and criminal damage and was on remand for 3 weeks. He 29 this year and never broke the law until his breakdown in 2005, my question is will his criminal record be removed after 5 years or will it remain on record for the rest of his life. The other offences he committed before he went to jail will that remain on PNC or be removed after a few years. The Guy was mentally ill at the time so can his criminal record be removed after 5 years as he couldn’t help doing these crimes.

Hi, I have a quick question about private car parks such as Cinema parking facilities. Here it goes; I went to the pictures with my girlfriend and noticed that I was too early for the showing. Therefore, me and my girlfriend went back into my car for the showing to commence. What happened is me and my girlfriend start getting comfortable with each other and we were disrupted by the site security person. Who advised myself such actions were not permitted on site and that I would be reported to the Police. I explained I was waiting for my cinema showing and was waiting in my car. Am I liable for prosecution for my action as outlined above?

I have just got this from a friend of mine and I feel in-equipped to advice! What do you think? Is this right? Jill About 20 steps of being out of my apartment building I was surrounded by 5 teenage chavs (I apologise if anyone doesn't like that term) who proceded to block my path, oink at me, say terribly hurtful things to me about my weight and general physical appearance, and to top it off pulled my (already too baggy and being badly held up) jeans down around my ankles. I fled back into the building and called the police who said that there was nothing they could do if they hadn't actually done me any lasting physical harm or stolen anything and that I should just …

Hi all I have a question for you about car markings and the law. I'm coming into some money in a few months time and would like to work for myself in the IT industry mainly doing networking. I'm posibly going to include the service of network security and would be including Wireless Network Security into my list of services which would mean a laptop and a slow moving and occasionaly stopped car. I'm considering on the car I would buy (work and SDP) to include high visibility chevrons on the back, battenberg on the side and possibly a rotating amber lamp or two while working. The problems I can see is that the markings would probably need to be permenant untill it's n…
