If someone was found to of posted a threatning note to a business/shop what would they get? Probably not a big chance they would get caught though really.

Hi everyone, I came across a problem and beside it being a crime also considered it as a shame for all the UK people. Some of the UK residents are cheating people worldwide online. I have their identities. I came to know about this because my friend in India ordered some products online, they took the payment and now are sending him the products. Can anyone tell me whether this comes under a crime and can we report about this or not?

Last night at the prison, a "young person", whom i shall name C, became aggressive towards myself and another officer as we removed posters which he had stuck over his cell light. We restrained him and called for assistance. Whilst waiting for assistance, he slipped his arm free and gripped me around the windpipe with his left hand ( not a choke, more like he was trying to crush my windpipe with his fingers). To get him to release his grip, i placed my forearm / elbow across his face and applied pressure. I want to press charges, as i should not have to be assaulted at my place of work. Where do i stand?

Why is it that this justice system is loves to quote " innocent until proven guilty," yet so many laws contradict, with the law lying "guilty until proven innocent" For instance if i pick a badger up that was killed in on the road, i have to prove this myself in order to show i have not been badger digging or, lamping badgers or the one the media loves " badger baiting". I had an RTC recently - hit from behind at roundabout. Other chap admitted liability and we exchanged details. he wants to settle without getting the insurance companies involved which i am happy with as i have his details and all was above board and all is going well. I have been told by friend that i still have to report this to my company, just to let them know. Do i have to do this and if i dont what can the do?

Please can someone advise me when you issue a HORT1 to a motorist after pulling them over for a routein stop check. When you give a Caution + 3 (not under arrest, free to leave, own expense legal advice) the motorist decides to leave without providing the information needed to complete a HORT1. "Free To Leave". What can be done in this situation.

Can the police take action against someone carrying out licensable activities with an SIA licence. ie. If someone is directing a company which employs doorstaff or is managing doorstaff they are supposed to have a non-front line SIA licence. Can the police deal with this offence or is it only the SIA that can deal with it? If you can deal with it, what action can be taken, is it arrestable? Before anyone suggests the SIA would be the better people to ask, despite paying £245 to them for my right to work I have been unable to get them to take any action against two companies in this area that are breaking the law in this respect.

Where do you stand if you're asked to produce your driving licence at a police station and you can't because its in the possession of a government agency as proof of ID.

Is there a "law" where by someone can tell the police about a sexual assault many years after the incident toke place? I know nothing could be done about it now but just to notify the police really?

Only on a handful of occasions have I seen a panda car stop a motorist for speeding, but it has always made me wonder that without video evidence and VASCAR etc, would it be a simple case of "their word against mine" Can a police officer give a fixed penalty notice without clear cut evidence?

My friend who drives, all legal etc was well we think was caught doing 48 or less in a 40 zone by a stopped van with a camera in. We THINK he was speeding, were not actually 100%. But there was no sign of this van, and is 48 eligible for a ticket- (i know theres some 2% thing). I know he was wrong to speed but would this be an automatic 3 points and fine-hes 18 and has nil criminal or road incidents, in fact first time he was speeding because he was late for his lesson.
