hi I'm starting a new topic cos it isnt the same thing as my other one. Can i be arrested for trespassing for being in private property as in the grounds of an office. is that arrestable in itself or does there need to be an injunction on me which i then need to break to be arrested. I have been told it isn't possible to be arrested for trespassing on its own but i need to know if this is right?

With the new legislations of it being against the law to smoke whilst driving, I've stopped next to many police vehicles at red lights with a cigarette in hand, they see me but dont look twice. What could they do if they wanted? Also any reasons why it is not bein stongly enforced? Im not moanin like, just wandering?

I'm a 19 year old male, and have been recently going to country and game shows with my girlfriends mums boyfriend (I'll give you a minute to figure that out). I have been asked a question by someone on a non-police forum (everybody knows what I do!) and I'm not sure of the answer. Perhaps someone from BTP could advise me. The chap in question commutes by train to London and holds a season ticket. On the day in question the train was packed out as usual with barely room to stand. Hello I have found a black jacket with the white letters FBI on the back, front and arms of the jacket, and it is advertised as a replica FBI jacket The item is being sold from Canada As a fan of the x-files, I am tempted to buy it to wear as a normal jacket, but I am concered about the laws detailing wearing police clothing Does this law extend to police clothing from foriegn countries? Hey, first post here, question for you police officers. I want know if you were to see a student throwing LED Throwies onto a metal object, likely a bridge, what would be the likely response? The reason I ask is for my uni project I want to throw LED Throwies onto the underside of a bridge / lamp post near my home to then photograph the results and peoples responses as well. However I do not want to get into trouble, if an officer simply said to stop it I would no questions but at the same time I don't want go to jail card do not pass go do not collect £200 either. Hi folks, I'm trying to find out what the piece of legislation is that mandates that police forces operate ... for example ... The Fire Services Act 1947 - Replaced by the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 - Demands that a fire service must be in existance, sets out what a fire service is and what it must do etc. The National Health Services Act of 1946 - Demands that an Ambulance service is in existance, sets out what an ambulance service is and what it must do. I am just wondering what chances I have with either PCSO or front line police with a caution for criminal damage ( smashing a car window out of defence) and i don't know what caution i got again in 6 months was, i was drunk and went out with a knife to do harm to myself. Went to see a doctor and she said i only had anger management. Anyways, I am 25 and all i have ever done is try to support and protect my family like anyone would do. Hello all, I lecture in Criminal Investigation Analysis, which is a module of the Forensic Science degree at the University of Lincoln. I have recently started this position and have requested that the campus library stocks a few copies of the Act and the codes of practice. Unfortunately, these will not arrive for some time, and my current students require access to the the Act itself and the CoP's to assist them with their assignments and forthcoming examinations. Hi, this may seem very stupid to you but i used to know this person who was known to the police and he told me that if you knocked off a police officers helmet then they cannot by law, arrest you for any crime you commit because they need to wear a helmet to arrest you I was just wondering if that is correct because that would seem very silly if police couldnt arrest you unless they had there helmet on. sorry for such a silly question
