I was just randomly surfing the net when I came across Gladstones Boots (bought a nice baton holder ) when I saw this page. http://www.gladstoneboots.com/acatalog/POLICE_BADGES.html Now it says there that reflective badges with POLICE on them are restricted items and will only be shipped to station addresses. But below the ones saying Police Community Support Officer don't. So it made me wonder, would there be any offences in impersonating a PCSO, or walking down the street with a Hi-viz and PCSO on the back as they're not constables?

A car driver is flagged down by a small group of people late one night. One of the three men produces a firearm and orders the driver to get out of the car. The driver instantly drives directly at the gunman and knocks him over but he also knocks the other two men over at the same time, injuring them in the process. There is nothing to give the driver grounds to believe that the other two men were armed or taking an active role in the robbery and when questioned he is clear that he did not intend to do them any injury. Was he reckless and should he face any charges in relation to the two unarmed men?

Earlier today I saw these 2 kids looking at this tiny little motorbike....from where I was it looked like it actually had an engine and everything, despite being only about 8" high - they weren't riding it though nor was the engine (if there was indeed one) on Does anyone know anything about these? what, if any, are the laws surrounding them?

Hi, I was given a roadside caution last year for having a small quantity of cannabis in my possession. This is my only contact with the police, I wasn't given any paperwork after the caution and after my head stopped spinning, the officer was very fair but I sort of panic in these situations :smiley_vomit: , I realised I don't really know the repercussions of what happened. I had accepted that this may be against my name forever, however I was watching an episode of road wars recently and I heard one officer say that he didn't want to give someone a caution as it would prevent him from gaining access to Thailand and America. If you have someone committing tresspass on your land - can you use reasonable force to eject them, as the land owner or would it be assult?

Just wondered if anyone had come across a company called City Field who issued a "Fixed Charge Notice" quoting Section 66 of the RTA? My permit must have blown off the dashboard when I shut the door as it was in the foot well of the driver's side when I went back to find the car with this FCN attached to it. Also had a big sticky label saying "Warning - Vehicle Removal Notice" stating that the card was "authorised for removal" Any suggestions? They are trying to get £100 out of me! I've checked out on a simple google search and Section 66 applied to Parking in London and I live in Brighton & Hove. Can't find the details of Schedule 6 to read...........

Hi - I am obviously aware that new laws were introduced regarding stop and search for knifes on School Premises but how about Colleges. My question is: Do College staff have the power to stop and search for knifes on the College premises??

At end of 2005 I received a spot fine for £80 for disorderly conduct for having a wee in the street when i was drunk. At that time, I had a mountain of debts and could not pay the fine, but a few months later i was made bankrupt. I put the police fine in my bankruptcy order and thought nothing more about it, but recently in a discussion with my friend, they say that it will not have counted in the bankruptcy file and that i'll still have to pay it. If this is true, how much will the £80 have gone up to now?

Hope I can explain this well enough for someone to answer my question. A while back there was a national circulation for a person wanted for murder in England. Now, the thing that I couldn't understand was the circulation stated that if the suspect was located, they were not to be informed that they were wanted for murder. This was some PACE requirement supposedly but I didn't understand it. I have seen another circulation from an English force regarding some other offence where it also stated that the suspect was not to be told some information and some PACE guideline was to be followed. Can anyone shed some light?

Hey, what's the best way to stop "I'll do (X) jobs on your guttering/windows for (X) pounds" type conmen. I'm not an expert in those types of jobs, so I wouldn't know if he had done the job or just stood up a ladder for half an hour. Reason I ask is one of my family thought she'd had it done on her, but it turns out she hadn't, but it probably won't be a mis-understanding if it happens again. I'm alert about security, and will ask to see ID's etc, but what's to stop a conman making a fake, official looking ID. I don't want to sound obnoxious in case a window cleaner is genuine, so what should I do? Cheers in advance, Murray
