Its quiet again on here, So I thought I would do a short missive about cycling law and see if anyone wants a more in depth discussion on the topic ? I took up cycling again 39 years to the day since I gave it up, on getting my moped licience. Two years later I have done circa 10,000 miles just bobbing about. I realise this is probably not a true story but if I was to do something like this what offence if any would I be charged with?

Customer purchases item of furniture (side table) from shop, on premises to collect once more have been delivered (told that they were expected later in the week). Has receipt of purchase, paid in full. 1 week passes, hears nothing from shop so phones only to be told that the shop is entering administration and unfortunately the purchase cannot be completed, nor can they offer a refund. Goes to shop, picks up the display item of the one he purchased and walks out. What, if any, laws are broken?

Hello all Just want to know where i stand with the law on this one. But very basically, i ordered an engine from a breakers yard, after a lot of messing about they have not delivered the engine and now refuse to refund me for no particular reason. As i have paid for the engine i believe legally its now mine??? If they refuse to deliver it can i go and retrieve it myself? Someone advertising a car on Ebay for a below market price as bait to entice a victim. No phone number and only way to contact is email. The car is then claimed to be in the presence of a 3rd party who claim to operate an escrow scheme to safeguard the buyer. They claim that you are not paying for the vehicle, the money goes into escrow, they deliver the car and if you don't like it you get the money back. Before I get to my question I think it important you have some background about myself. For nearly twenty years I have been employed as a Civilian Enforcement Officer (CEO) for the Ministry of Justice, I cover a large part of the SW of England. So I received 3 printed letters that said just one word on all of them, they'd be something like 'Bitch' and various other offensive names. This happened about 4-5 months ago. I currently live with my mother in Derby and the last one again printed but the envelope was handwritten was addressed to my mother. Very odd situation but if you can help i will appreciate. For 9 horrible months i lived in a council property with a woman who racially abused me, harassed me and made noise purposely to upset me. She was recorded making noise and admitted to knocking on my door to argue with me and banging on the floor at me however nothing was done about her by both police and the council. I've just been watching some "police harassment" videos on youtube... A PCSO approached males playing loud music through speakers connected to a stereo or ipod. The music involved swearing and words that could cause offence. When asked by the men what laws were being broken by playing this music, the PCSO could not respond and decided to let them off, just warning them to keep the music down. So is there any law regarding playing music in the street - offensive or not? Could these men have been charged for any kind of antisocial behaviour?
