I have been having an ongoing issue with a neighbour for a year now. He purposely makes noise, like stamping on the floor and jumping and walking around in shoes. This all started because I complained to HA that he has laminate flooring which is a breach of tenancy and he has held this grudge every since. What are (if any) the legal constraints for officers working on local bus services (not TFL provided) both in uniform and plain clothes, in order to deter and react to illegal activities? Are there any powers that can't be utilised when on buses? Have any of you carried out such work (BTP not included)? In your experience, have the bus firms cooperated and allowed free travel on the bus, stopped at non-bus stop locations, etc?

In the Queen's Speech today, the Policing and Crime Bill brings ban on under-18s being held in police cells as a "place of safety". So, what will constitute a Place of Safety for under-18s other than their home (if applicable)? Is there a list? Is it force specific? Also interested in what people on here would deem to be a Place of Safety without consulting official sources. Is the "Health Based Place of Safety" a separate category (as defined in the MHA)?

I had a discussion with a colleague about S136. S136 starts with "if a constable finds in a public place to which the public have access" So if I were to find someone in the street outside their house, they are clearly mentally unwell and in need of immediate care/ control, I accompany them into their home (or other private place) in order to make necessary enquiries (maybe to preclude 136 as it could be normal behaviour for this person due to a learning disability which can is managed), and find that it is a place unsuitable for them to remain or there is no one to look after them etc, could I still 136 them from their private address considering I originally found t…

I have an ongoing IPCC investigation into an officer that almost resulted in my death i.e requiring intubation in the Intensive Care Unit and family and police being informed that I may not last the night. Obviously that wasn't the case, as I live to tell the tale but the IPCC are investigating it. In April last year I was going through a bad time with my mental health. I have PTSD and was in hospital after having an allergic reaction when I asked the doctor if I could see a Psychiatrist as I was having negative thoughts. I was told that I saw one last week and didnt need to see one. This frustrated me and didn't help my current situation so I decided to leave A&E but I was in my pyjamas so I took a pair of scrubs and wore them to leave, I went to Boots and took an overdose ending back up in A&E again. Hi I have a difficult one here i was wondering if anyone has any advise, I have dissociative identity disorder otherwise known as multiple personality disorder. i have several alter personalities and when I dissociate I either blank out and stare into space or my personality state changes. my liscense has been revoked due to this mental health problem but I have (before i was banned) found myself in random places in the car without remembering how I got there, sometimes an alter would go to the train tracks and I would call 999 immediately when I came round. the police know me as ive had so many episodes where they've sectioned me and they have always been very under…

Back at the beginning of March, a neighbour came onto our property (a bit worse for wear with alchohol), he started to push my husband around so my husband hit him with a broom which broke in half. Both of them were interviewed by the police at the time. About 3 weeks later we were informed the investigation had been closed, just put down to 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. On the 9th of January 2016, I was with friends in a bar. At around 11:30 pm, the bouncer asked me to leave with him so I did. He then explained the the bar had a zero tolerance approach to drugs. The police were called and I was subsequently arrested, for being in possession of drugs. I was not in possession of drugs. I was dealing with an RTC the other day and the duty recovery truck came along to remove the cars (full lift). I was a bit surprised when the floor of the truck lifted up and it turned out to be a double-decker tow truck. It got me thinking, what classification of vehicle do tow trucks and recovery vehicles come under? Under Cat B licence, you can drive a vehicle up to 3500kg (MAM). So if a tow truck was 3000kg, surely you could only tow a vehicle up to 500kg on top of it? Without going into specifics but I can if required, an ex girlfriend has made three allegations and two are fabricated which I could prove to be lies but I don't think it will do any good, my concern is if she lies again. At this point the police aren't interested in what I have to say, they issued a PIN and told me to have no contact with her which I've accepted and hadn't had any contact with her for over a week, I think she's bitter and could lie even more to cause me problems.
