Ok I'm a real wimp about any kind of medical and a bit paranoid. So just wondering if anyone can tell me what the medical actually consists of?

Just had a letter to say I failed paper sift (quite badly really - 1B 2C's and 1D). I am dissapointed and disheartened and like so so many others I spent ages and tried really hard to explain the various situations with the exact details they wanted/needed to know and again like so many others, just didn't quite get the idea of what exactly they were wanting?!! However, the feedback was very helpful and i'll definately try again in 6 months. I had said to myself (before I discovered this forum) that if I failed the papersift I would just think i'll never get in. I've just been warned that I will be having my PSU initial course starting in 7 days! The only problem is that I haven't been getting enough exercise recently. My last fitness was about 1 1/2 months ago and i got level 11 on it. How hard is the fitness test for PSU and is it relativly easy like the normal one?

Hi, Where to start. Right. I'm currently at uni and will be for the next year or two and am wondering what peoples opinions are as i've got two possible routes and I don't know what one to aim at - ill explain. If i get the degree im doing now, i have the option of doing a postgraduate for 2 years allowing me to be a qualified physio. This appeals to me. However, being in the police is something else that greatly appeals to me - and I could apply for that as soon as im finished the degree im on now (if not before i finish to allow me to hopefully start soon after i finish uni). Does any1 know how long it takes to get a reply back after sending application to a force in scotland? I've applied to fife police in scotland. I heard it takes 6 weeks Am i right? Is no news good news?

Hi, Could someon tell me what a conditional offer is, as I have heard it mentioned numerous times on this site? What else takes place between the conditional offer and taking up the place? Presumably they take references prior to giving a conditional offer? When do you get a firm offer, complete with contract? Cheers
