The results for Inspectors Part One are now out. Thought you might like to post your results on here. The main reason I've started this is so I can be first on here and say. "I'VE PASSED!!!"

I am a PC serving inan English Force. I have passed my ospre 1 and 2 and get a fair bit of acting up. For family reasons I may need to move to Scotland. Does anyone know if, once I attain the substantive rank of sgt could I transfer and retain the rank? Looking mostly at Strathclyde or Lothian and Borders. It would a bit of a pain in the arse to throw my exams away and start again.

In reply to Bennet 2006 ( sorry Mods, I know this is the wrong Forum are, but for some reason it wont let me reply to that thread, or post in the transfer forum page. I'm sure one of you chaps will move it over...) Anyway, Bennet was asking about transferring from Lancashire to Dorset. Do you think that PCSO should be a mandatory stepping stone onto the position of Police Constable?

:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: I'm about to submit my application form. I have read up about a course called Into Blue. It seems like a good idea. Has anyone attended this course? Is it value for money? I'd welcome both positive and negative comments. i.e. Whats good about it? Did it really help? Are the trainers up to date? Has anyone found it to be a waste of time/money? Thanks

long time no post - my missus gave birth to our daughter Abigail and we've been a bit busy trying to get a routine! I think this is the most appropriate forum for this question - hope there are some personnel types out there! In a nutshell the missus is unhappy here in Australia and wants to return to the UK. I served with Avon & Somerset for 3 1/2 years before I joined South Australia Police. I've been told I can't transfer to a UK force 'cos SAPOL obviously isn't a Home Office force and I've been given conflicting information about rejoining. I didn't manage to take a career break so thats out of the window but every force website i look at mentions r…

Can't believe it really, just nipped home to let my dogs out and pick up my post and there was my rejection letter. As a quirk of fate in the same post was my subject access response confirming I was all clear - the thing I was most worried about I totally bombed on the competancies, not just a little bit either. I'm just devastated. If I could I'd reapply again immediately, this 6 month wait is a right royal pain in the butt, because you can pretty much guarantee that when my holding period is up nobody will be recruiting for another year. Sorry for being on such a downer
