I was speaking to a colleague who has said you have to learn about 9 points of law (i.e. the most common) before you start as a student officer. The thinking behind this is that once you are sworn in, you are deployable and should know some basics. Is this true? Any other Sussex officers know which ones? I'm guessing section 5 public order, theft, assault etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Jim

Hi, I've just sent off my medical forms and they've asked for some further details on my trip to a physiotherapist. I've had problems with my RSI in my wrists. I work in a job where I'm on a computer constantly for eight hours a day which has aggravated this no end. What I'm asking is, will it affect my chances of employment? What are the rules on this?

Hey guys. I'm 6 weeks away from getting a 204 medical discharge from the Royal Military Police. My own fault, I mentioned to the doctor that occasionally when I run, I get slight ache in my right knee. Anyway, my question is, if I apply to my chosen force (Avon and Somerset) would they ask for access to my medical history and judge me on that, or would they run their own full medical to see if I'm medically fit? Thanks, Sam.

Hey Everyone! I would really really appreciate any tips and or advice for my final interview coming up,eg what is the itinerary of the interview, is it...tell me a bit about yourself, then get stuck into what if scenarios? How intense is it, Im assuming I am in for a hard time? If anyone who has recently done this, can give me the jist of it, and what to aim for with regards to research and what to study, I would REALLY appreciate it! As much as I was nervous for my initial, I know from the advice from my interviewers that the final interview is something to be scared of!! :smiley_vomit: Cheers peeps. :smiley_notworthy:

Not the likes of having to write as formula one speed but to think at formula one speed too!On overal I think its really testing you. Started at 9.40am and finished at 2.50pm. I can't honestly say how well or bad I did it. Now we have to wait for a week before moving on to panel interview. phil

Hi Guys, I'm a newbie to this site... I applied to Cambridgeshire back in 2006 and got invited to an A/C in May 2007. However I had to turn the opportunity down due to unfortunate family circumstances at the time. Has anyone had to do this, and if so is this looked upon as a bad thing? The reason I ask is I am going to be reapplying next month... Thanks!
