Hey After a long wait, the time has come for the next stage of my move from Specials to Regs. I have my assessment centre with Thames Valley on 28th this month. Does anyone else here have the dates? Hi all, About to start at Tulliallan for basic training and wondered what sort of Physical Training I can expect i.e how often we train, what type of training etc. If anyone who's been there and done it can offer some info that would be great! Cheers

Did anyone else notice the following points in the Lib Dems election manifesto yesterday regarding the police and the community? They have pledged to pay for 3,000 more police on the beat, to be funded largely by scrapping ID cards, and to reform the police, with a full review of terms and conditions for police officer recruitment. It would be interesting to see what they would change?!

Hello all, After transferring my PC app from Lancs in Feb this year. I've got my Final Interview date through from Merseyside (14th April 2010). Are there any others out there?! Morning all. Just after your views on transferring to the MET. I'm currently a DC in Leicestershire CAIU but have been successful in my application to join the Major Investigation Team in the MET based at Barking. Everyone I have spoken to about the MET only has good things to say about it as a Police Force, I've yet to meet someone who has anything negative to say. I'm waiting for my security and vetting checks to be completed before an offer and start date are made so thought it would be a good idea to get the views of people that have made the move or those that work in the MET.
