Hey, It just came to mind now when watching a police program, what if whilst your banging the door down and they set off several canisters of petrol (for example). Obviously getting the drugs is a main objective but would you: a) Get out and wait for fire brigade b) go in look for drugs even though there is a fire c) Someone call fire brigade, other officers go in to rescue the people inside even though there will be fire. Not sure if this is on here, i had a look but i couldnt find it

Hey, It came across my mind the other day. If someone tried to get away from the police and rammed some pedestrians over and they suffered minor injuries what would the offence be? I saw on tv assault with a deadly weapon, but on another there was no charge against it, so.. What would generally happen? Thanks

Rodney Rubbish manages to fill his black wheelie bin every week, and since the council only collect general waste once every 2 weeks he finds that every week he has too much rubbish to fit in the bin. The council refused to collect it if it was placed by the side or if the lid wasn't closed so Rodney decides to distribute his rubbish amongst neighbours bins on the morning of the rubbish collection day. Petunia Pedantic and other neighbours take offence to Rodney using their bins as overflow, even though he isn't taking up space that they would have used. For the sake of the scenario lets say Rodney manages to distribute an extra 5/6 bin liners of general waste extra ev…

I work in an office that is based within a very small industrial unit within a rural location. There are approx 10 units on this estate which has fields all around and a zoo to one side. Today, whilst sat in my office I heard 2 distinctive cracks which I recognised to be gun shots. I am au fait with firearms. I looked out of the window to see a male with what appeared to be a long barreled air weapon shooting into the air. He was shooting magpies that were in flight and hitting them causing them to fall onto one of the other units roofs. They were then left there for the remainder of the day (approx 4 birds in total). This is a busy site with almost constant comings a…

I have unfortunately been drawn into the 'freeman' world by a friend. He knows that I study law and asked me to look into it for him. I immediately told him it was rot and explained why. He said I was wrong and pointed me to a few bits and bobs. I have started to read them with interest and after reading one such article, a thought struck me. Murder (an offence at common law) is basically made out where A causes the death of B, where B is a person born alive and being under the Queen's peace, with malice aforethought. Now several freemen advocate lodging a notice of rebellion against the queen due to a government dispute (in order to remove themselves from the laws and …

STEVE is a 15 year old boy, DENISE is a 13 year old girl. STEVE is black and DENISE is white. STEVE and DENISE are boyfriend and girlfriend. They have been going out for two weeks and STEVE suggests to DENISE he wants to have sex with her. DENISE is reluctant and says no because she doesn't feel ready. I am not a police officer........... Hell Im not even training. I am just an applicant so dont bite my head off lol What happens if you are off duty and you get into a fight with someone or somebody hits you or pushes you? Do you arrest them for assault or the more specific offence of assaulting a police officer. Bearing in mind that you are off duty and even though yes you can become "on duty" at any-time and that with you are a constable at all times according to your oath. So what is the actual offence committed?

Something ive noticed on a certain bus route in london. People either reek of cannabis or try and smoke it in public view. Your on a public transport i.e a bus off duty. A person gets on and you can pratically taste the cannabis ozzing off them.Other passengers in unision either hold their noses or turn around to see where the smells coming from. Im assuming the smell is the grounds for a s23 search? Could you detain the person on the bus for s23 search? and prior to that would you need to inform the driver in case it turns ugly so he can call for police assistance?

Whilst on duty, A illegal rave was being set up in a small village area near to our location. We were immediately sent to the location to put on Road blocks and to deter persons attending the rave site. We positioned a marked car across the road and set up our cordon, to prevent vehicles attending the location. What powers could we use to stop FOOT traffic going to the location ?? Any help appreciated ??

With the growing levels of drinking in society, violence is inevitable, thought with schemes like pub watch, life does become slightly simpler. Few nights ago in my local town (think fairly busy countryside town) I was out side the local bar where a woman was slightly kicking off, now she was pretty drunk and fairly violent but nothing the bouncers couldn't handle. She was on pub watch and as you can imagine, she can be on the street outside but not on the premises (which has a step that leads on to the front door). She had slipped passed the door staff to which me and the crew have a good understanding, some very good friends and I help 'point' out a few things. She was…
