Saturday night... In a kebab shop.. A very very drunk chap having been served his food which was paid for, then he reaches behind the counter and takes a cleaning product. He then leaves the shop with the cleaning product and his food. You ask him to take the item back, he refuses. At this point, is the offence of theft completed?

Right... A lad is crossing the road when he is hit by a car, the lad is thrown over the bonnet and lands on the windscreen, smashing it in the process. The lad then bounces off and is left for dead on the roadside as the driver leaves the scene in his car. A few days later, with the help of some CCTV, the driver is picked up and the victim who has luckily recieved no more than a broken leg has to go and identify him down at the police station, which he does. At which point, the driver then turns to an officer and reports the victim for criminal damage to his car. Say a Police officer is living in a house share, where the 2 owners are siblings. The police officer is aware of a disturbance and ends up witnessing an assault then verbally breaking it up. The whole positive action towards domestics would mean that the attacker (that was witnessed) should be arrested... There would be no complaint from either side, but the fact still stands that there was a heated argument which ended up with broken skin and hair pulled out! What should a police officer do in this situation? The fact the officer witnessed this from within their own dwelling... Chopper.

The Tent Scenario (quite unusual but worth solving) : You are on the beat (in a force car) and you arrive at a golf club car park due to complaints of loud music. When you arrive: Nearby local youths have setup a tent and are having a party on the grass on the golf course (right by the car park). There is nobody else around just the youths. The golf club is only used during the day- this is during the evening. The youths have stocked up on champagne and vodka in the tent. They have been drinking and four of them are 18 years old. right..you are on the beat with your parnter in a rough area there is a group of 7-8 boys standing about on a foot path. they arent drinking but are being abusive to people who are passing by. you go up to them and ask them to move on. at first they are trying to have a laugh with you and then one thing leads to another and things turn sour and one of the youths spit on your face. As you are heavly out numbered what would you do? pull the person aside and arrest him or give them a verbal warrning so's not to have all 8 turn on only you and your partner. any thought what so ever. want to see what difference officers would do in this situation

Just one I thought of whilst walking out of Tesco! A security guard goes up to a youth walking through the centre on his own and approaches him and asks who he is with (that is the part that I just saw), now the made up bit... The youth states that he has just been to the leisure centre in the shopping complex and is walking through to go home, the security guard think's he is up to no good and drags him out of the centre to eject him. The boy clearly doesn't agree with this and shouts for him to get off. Assault?
