Hello, just wondering if anybody could help me with this question/scenario. It's probably a case law actually and i'm searching for one. 'Louise went to the home of a former business partner against whom she had a grudge, and fired several shots at the house with a rifle. People are in their house but no one is injured. Damage only to a window has been caused as a result. What offences if any has Louise committed?' If anybody could help that would be brilliant. Thanks!

This actually happened in my local and I was one of the first lucky customers to find it. (unfortunately we didn't know whodunit) Some guy smears his own faeces all over the toilet seat, cubical walls and floor. It was horrific and actually made the whole Gents completely un-usable. Had we caught the chap, what offences? I can only think of Sec 5 POA (actions causing distress) and Criminal Damage. Anything else? - cps.gov.uk

With the possibility of me going to uni next year, my mind is full of Uni based Scenarios that could occur in the life of an average uni student... With the increasing ease of facebook, texting and other forms of communication things like this are more common on a day to day basis? Okay so here is the scenario.... You've just moved into your new uni diggs and getting to know all your flat mates for the next year.. one of the girls is talking about her boyfriend who she is ever so much in love with, they talk on the phone in her flat every night, and text constantly. 2 weeks later, it all ends due to the distance and the fact that she is moving on with her life. The n…

Bill and Joe live in a small village where there is only one pub. Bill has numerous driving convictions, including 2 x drink drive and is currently a banned driver. Joe goes into the pub one night and sees Bill there having had a skinfull. Joe then sees Bill get into a car and drive off. Joe calls the police and reports that Bill is drink driving. Bill is duly stopped, blows over, and is arrested. He subsequently serves 3 months in prison. (Bill has worked out that Joe told the police he was driving) When Bill comes out of prison he continues to drink in the same pub as Joe - but is continually dropping little "we know who to trust" "grass" and "will get his comeuppance" …

At one of the festivals I did security for this year, we got a call from one of the security personnel planted on the main gate saying that a big bloke was being abusive, had made one of the volunteers cry and was very intoxicated. Being part of the response teams myself and my buddy went off to help out, on arrival the bloke was infact big and very intoxicated, he started being abusive to the female volunteer when she asked to see his wrist band, no idea why he decided to go down this route because he infact had a wrist band, but never mind. Long story short my colleague at the gate said he did not want the chap coming back in because of his actions and was given the ch…

Ok, so i'm sat in my front room, around 11pm and i hear a window smash outside in the communal car park in a cul-de-sac. I look out and see two males next to the bunch of parked cars, and see they have broken the window of my car, and are attempting theft from. I go and grab a cricket bat from a toy cricket set (i.e like you'd take to the beach), and head outside to confront the males, bat in hand. I go out and disturb them, then shout for say my brother, neighbour to come out and help me try and either scare the males away, or try to perform a citizens arrest and obviously keep the males at the scene. I throw the bat away once i have help in the situation, and then a fig…

right i got asked a question today that i didnt know the answer to. I will put it in context Mrs miggins is driving from her local supermarket back home. She is caught, say by static camera doing a speed that is then eligible for her to take a speed awareness course rather than having 3 points and a fine. Mrs Miggins accepts and does the course. 11 months and 30 days later Mrs Miggins is caught again same stretch of road same speed as before, this would make her eligible for a speed awareness course. (My grey area is this) 1) Would mrs miggins be eligible for a second speed awareness course 2) Mrs Miggins is not eligible, gets 3 points and £60 fine, or 3) Retrospec…

Afternoon all, I'm running through a few practice questions from the TVP Foundation Degree course and I'm after a few answers. Jayne is at home with her 6 month old baby girl Emily. Emily is crying and hungry, so Jayne goes to the fridge and finds there is no milk. She knows that the man next door has 3 pints delivered by the 'Unidairy' man every morning. She knows he won't mind, so she goes and takes a pint from the step. Ian in the mean time is owed £20 by his brother Mike and has asked for it back on a number of occasions. While visiting Mike's flat one afternoon, Ian see's a £20 resting behind the clock on the shelf. He takes it, puts it in his pocket and makes his…

Hello hello So i got thinking, if you and your college (in uniform) were walking through ASDA (for example) and someone just dropped down in front of you on the floor for whatever reason, the whole store begins to look at you both expecting some action to be taken so you begin to do first aid, initial assessments etc then some supermarket workers run over and franticly tell you to stop as its their supermarket so they have to do the first aid, it's evident they are panicking and stressed about the unconscious casualty on the floor. Supermarkets have first aid trained colleges and insurance to do with that (i would imagine). What would you do? Continue first aid or walk…

You're driving along as normal on patrol or in your personal vehicle, a pedestrian walking with his/her headphones in and walks out straight in front of you, causing you to swerve and potentially damage your vehicle. Completely their fault. What course of action would you take if your vehicle was damaged?

You come across a male, beaten to hell, conscious, breathing and sitting on the floor. Ambulance already called by one of 4 MOPs standing around and enroute. You ensure victim is looked after and protect the scene. You ask for anyone who witnessed the assault and the 4 MOPs state they were just waiting for the ambulance, do not wish to leave details and walk away whilst you are dealing with scene management. Its also pouring with rain, pitch black at night and victim is becoming combative due to either drink or head injury. Victim cannot speak and does not indicate offender(s). Yes, some of the MOPs could be the actual offenders, but what powers exist for us to obtain wi…

A very basic scenario, but one that I haven't known the answer to for a while now... You have a plain clothes detective in a supermarket. He watches a man pick up a bottle of whisky from the shelf and put it under his jacket. The man then calmly walks towards the main entrance of the store. There are no barriers etc, for him to pass through. As he gets closer to the entance he passes the checkouts which are to his left. The plain clothes detective has had him in sight constantly from the moment the whisky was picked up. Just before the man reaches the door the detective apprehends him. I was once told that the thief needed to be off the premises in order to be able to a…

You are on foot patrol in plain clothes in town. you recieve a radio message asking you to attend a job called in by the fire service. you get there and you find a coach with a fire service hose tangled in the rear wheel. you ask what has happened and you are told "the driver of the coach ignored the road closed signs and barriers placed across the road and decided to drive through the flood water that was across the road" ( the reason for the road closure.) "whilst crossing the flood water the driver has managed to tangle up a fire service hose in his wheel and torn it in half and carried on driving coming to a stop" 150m further down the road. The driver could not see…
