Hello everyone Rana here, I'm 25 and currently working in a Post Office and enjoy it but I need more out of life. I have applied for Hampshire Constabulary in Febuary, and have just passed my papershift bit. (i belive thats what you call it) and only got the letter today. Really excited. But I know I have alot of hurdles to jump. I have been searhing this fourm for over an hour now, and I think it is fantastic resource for people like me. I'm waiting for a date for the assessment, in the meantime i have to pass my driving test (which is booked for the 23rd july fingers crossed). Also keep my fitness up. I'am going to be logging on this site quite more often now for som…

Hello everyone, I'm Gareth, a bobby from good old Blackpool (unfortunately). I've got 5 years in, just passed my Ospre part 1, and am hopefully aiming for my part II in September. I'm currently a CBM, and have been for 3 years now. I work in the most deprived area of Blackpool, and have been subject to the Reassurance project and Reassurance plus (it's a Home Office project which has created a communication infrastructure with the aim of improving the area from every angle) which was fun. My area keeps me very busy, resulting in very regular arrests (as much as response) and plenty of POP related stuff. I'm a very pro-active officer, who does a lot of drugs work and lov…

Greetings forum folk Lo here (Excuse the dot but I had to have three characters and there was me thinking I was only ever in two minds at any one time). I'm a civilian largely of a military background and largely by proxy at that. I Googled a few apt key words to locate a site such as this appears to be so I do hope Google weren't being a bit previous when they listed you right at the top. :whistle2: I'm hoping it's right up there with Parky's socks and Ken Dodd's tickling stick. I did actually register for more than an introduction as I do want to sound out some of the arguably more qualified members on a current harrassment issue. However, I presume there is a…

Hi folks I think I came across this site several years ago but have just got round to joining up. I retired just over 2 years ago after completing my 30 years. Time spent mainly in Roads Policing (or Traffic as we used to call it!!) and other uniform duties. Since leaving I have joined a company that sell speed detection equipment (you can stop booing there!!) I work from home but get to travel around the country meeting RP officers from the different counties. It is nice to keep the contact (and my wife is still a RP officer in my old force too so I manage to keep abreast of changes etc. To all those still serving....keep up the good work. You are appreciated. R

Hello one and all, thought I'd better follow Black Rats instructions and post something here. I'm in Essex, but not from Essex (is that worse?! ) Have been in the job a few years now so I'm probably far too opinionated and for that I apologise in advance! Like Dappycow, I'll also leave my stilletto's outside! Anyway, now you're all bored and probably a little suicidal, I'll go A-Z

Evening one and all, I thought i would come and introduce myself. Only just joined last night in a fit of rock star living on the edge madness! Been in the job a couple of years now and wish i could say that meant i was a spring chicken but sadly the life of camoflage and all things that go bang in the night had me for a while before this. Anyway, i will stop waffling, hello.

Fitness is a world of pain but have to say that i'm really enjoying it, even though half my clothes don't fit me anymore! Anyway, just thought i'd say hi and i'm looking forward to contributing. Great forum!!

Hi there! Well, without this sounding like an awards ceremony speech, i'd just like to thank everybody for taking the time out to post on this forum as i have found it so very useful during my application! Im still at the papersift stage myself and am sure of nothing but the long wait ahead! Thanks for making the wait just about bearable and keep up the great work!

Hello all, Some of you might recognise me from policespecials.com, but have just been told this site exists so came to explore! My name's Katrina and I'm from Essex... and yes, I'll take my white stilettos off at the door! Edit: I'll just say now, if any of my posts appear to be missing letters, it's because my "d" button doesn't work too well but I do usually notice before I post!!
