I would like to thank the ununiformed officer who on Sunday 30th, evening was nipped by my dog on Gorton Lane. He becomes very 'protective' when out at night due to a series of incidents with local 'hoodies'. Always will be muzzeled in future when in this situation. Thanks for your understanding! Hi folks I'm new to this forum, but some of you may have read my stuff on the Police Oracle forum or my blog. It's always good to broaden the horizons and see what others are up to. I just wanted to take a moment to say hello to everyone. I went to college in the UK and felt it was one of the best experiences of my life. Love the region, the people and pretty much everything about it. I currently am an Arizona Ranger living in the Phoenix metro area. I joined this site because I have great admiration for the officers who are charged with keeping peace in the UK and the courage it takes to do that job primarily without a firearm. I enjoy talking shop and learnig how other departments, even other countries police forces deal with the everyday problems on the job.

Hi Everyone..... Was browsing through the forum and come across this...eventually...and feel rather rude that I have not introduced myself, before posting on the forum; so here goes. Name is Liam, I have just been accepted into the Met Police - been given a 'proposed' start date of Oct/Nov 08. Why only proposed I here you ask (or maybe not!!). Hey Guys Thought it would be rude not to introduce myself Ive passed all stages of the assessment with D&C. Finally got my start date of 18th March. It has taken sooooo long to get there, i applied 3 years ago and failed the a/c. Built up the confidence to re-apply last year and now start in couple of weeks as a special. How do i get one of those resident feds under my name?
