Hi, just stopping by to introduce myself and ask a question. is the police recrutment process hard to complete?? i realy want to join the police force but i'm not the most brainy of people, i was just woundering what my chances would be if sent in an aplication form, also can someone tell me what qualifications are needed to get into the police force?? About to go to Scottish Police College in March. Then on to a posting somewhere within Northern Constabulary. Well, sort of Hello I've been here about a week, i like this site alot. My name's Adam, I'm a 17 year old lad living in Hertfordshire, i am very interested in becoming a police officer. I've wanted to do it since i was a little boy, you know when you go round to a relative's house for christmas and you see that little boy running aorund with plastic handcuffs and a whistle trying to arrest everybody? well that was me I'm looking to help get the criminals off the streets and right some wrongs, i.e longer sentences and harsher punishments for drink drivers/dangerous drivers etc. Things of that nature. - Thanks for reading.

Evening all!!! I'm new to the site and thought I'd say hi as I will probably be asking for a bit of advice in the near future. I'm in the process of leaving The Navy to join West Mercia and got my application form last night and am already bamboozled !!! It's racking my brains for examples for the competency questions that's getting me!!! I'm sure I'll get there eventually though with three weeks to complete it. hello I'm not a police officer BTW. Ive just finished filling out my application form for the ministry of defence police So hopefully i will hear something with in about 4-5 months or a year or 2 i think. But I'm a bit worried that i may not have enough life experience and that I'm only 21 as well. But anyways good forum with lots of information on it, hope to contribute towards it and hopefully join the Police Service soon
