Hi all, I have recently passed my fitness test for strathclyde police and have got my 1st interview on 5th June. I was wondering if anyone had got any advice or tips?

Hey all, First day looking at the forum so have to get rid of the annoying message at the top of the screen Trying to join Fife Constabulary at the mo'. Just sat(and passed ) the SET and have received the date for my initial interview. I'm trying to absorb as much info as possible so i'm fully prepared. Can anyone suggest any info to research that a newbie might not think of or any other tips for preperation. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Cheers Ryan.

Hi All, I have found this site four days or so ago.I am an accountant wanting to change careers and have been accepted by Uclan to do their University Certificate in Forensic Science as I would eventually like to become a SOCO. I am looking to change jobs at present and was wondering if any of you guys can point me in the right direction, in terms of getting some experience, bearing in mind that my course begins in Sept 08 and will run for 6 months(distance learning), so I cannot make an application to join as police staff, at least until then. Any ideas/advice will be welcome. Thanking you , Scully

Hello My names andy and another newbie to the forum Been looking at the forum for couple of weeks and finally decided to sign up because ive got a few questions But will save them for the related topic rooms! Not to give away too much but im 23 from the north east and currently a Land rover mechanic But have every intention, devotion and will in the world to make it in to the regulars one day!! Have already applied once but sadly never made it past the paper sift however its 2nd time lucky as im trying for the specials and shall be asking a few questions to see if the specials applications goes a bit further than the one for the regs!!!
