Heyaa, New to these forrums so just a quick hello :) I applied to GMP in Feb i think it was? (may have been March hah) and recieved a letter early April saying my app is recieving their attention, is this a good sign? and whats possibly earlier i will next hear back from them? if anyones in the same position? Hi all! Just thought I would say a quick hello! Well, I'm currently stuck working in finance in the city (yawn!). My contract is up in August and really hoping to get the application going asap to aviod yet more dull finance slavery!! I've always wanted to join, however family/University convinced me against it, however finally, after some soul searching, I feel like I want to do something where I actually get a lot out of my job so not going to be stopped this time! Need to get myself on one of these recruitment events which seems a mission in itself, but I'm determined!!!!!!

Hi, I'm Chris. I'm 18, live in the strathclyde police area, I'm related to one current and one ex-police constable, and i hope to join the police force. So, any advice? =) (And will having ADHD hurt my chances of getting accepted? Now that i'm almost diagnosed i'm worrying that it'll interfere with joining the police, which would suck, because now i'm getting treatment i'm actually able to do things.)

Well, my first post here so a little about myself I suppose. I'm a little later in life (37 years old). I've worked in the hire industry since leaving school and have done every job, during that time, from making the tea right up to management. I'm looking for a new direction so I have an application form for Lothian and Borders sitting downstairs asking to be filled in. I actually went out yesterday and bought my first pair of training shoes, for many years, to get myself fit. A mile and half in 12 minutes???? Are you mental????
