Hi to everyone. I have just 7 days until my training starts at Maidestone for Kent Police, and I'm sure I don't have to tell you all how much I'm looking forward to it! Its been 2 years in the application process so I'm feeling rather pleased with myself! If there's anyone else on here from Kent please do get in touch. Cheers, Steve

Hello, I am currently serving in the RAF and considering joining the Police as i need a change and feel the Police would be a good way forward. I am looking to join the Devon and Cornwall Police as me and the missus are looking into buying a house in North Devon. I have got no idea about day to day police work, the hows, whys and wherefores so i thought i'd give this site a read and see what help i can get. So, hello from me! I would be very interested in any ex military members giving me their thoughts on the change of lifestyle and pension advice. Having said that, i would be more than grateful for any insight or information given to me. Thank you. Regards, …

Hi guys, i realised (whilst mooching through the site) that i'd just dived straight in when i was doing my assessment centre and didn't take the time to introduce myself! Currently due to start GMP in August - VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY excited! Do feel free to pop in and say hello! I've not long popped the kettle on and i have bisquits (although i'd expect you to do the decent thing and leave your mitts off the Custard creams - they're my favourite...preferably the cheaper the packet, the better the taste - it's just how it is!!) But i digress.. Hi y'all !

Seeing as this is my first post on this fourm, the logical thing would be to introduce myself. I am 17 and will be 18 in August. I only recently decided that I was intrested in a Police career, having previously been undecided as to which profession I wanted to enter. I have just finished A Levels in Psychology and Film Studies and am awaiting results. I have enrolled to do another 2 years at my college and do a National Diploma in Uniformed Services which trains for Poice and other services such as Fire Fighting. I am approachable and pretty easy going so if anyone wants to drop me a message then please feel free, as I will take the time to respond. I am passionate abo…

Hello My name is Rich, I'm 22 and I'm due to start my training with Merseyside Police on August 3rd of this year. I've spent the last few years at University doing a History degree (where I got a 'drinking mans degree' ; 2:2), and also working part time to fund my studies in a variety of places (Two Wetherspoons, one random bar, a WM Morrisons, and a Threshers) whilst also being a part of the Territorial Army since 2006 (Originally Infantry with the Duke of Lancasters - now I'm part of the Royal Logistics). I found myself on this forum several times as I prepared for my final interview and some of the advice given really helped - I don't think I actually posted thou…

BUT he wants to be policeman so i said to be in police you have to be able to write and do maths. So i am looking for a pupil who went to Torriano Juniors and is now in the police. I would love if he could see a police station(and me), he has 1 year left with us then into secondary school so i want him inspired now before he drifts. So is anyone out there who can help. I'd be most grateful contact here or at school on c.hale@torrianojun.camden.sch.uk

Just another intro. In the job in Australia and joined here primarily to look at some aspects of the job in the UK (training/education/development) so I probably won't be all over the shop (well, unless I've had a few beers!). So, hello to everyone.

Hi, I've been holding back on the introduction until I received a phone call from Met recruitment. It came today, I'm back, I rejoin the Met in September. I really enjoy this Police forum (compared to others) and no doubt it will help me with my passage back into the blue suit. I've been away 3 and a bit years and before that I had nearly 17 years service with two Forces. All I have to do now is sell my company and enjoy. What a fantastic way to end the week. Regards Hector ( a nickname given to me by a partner on a Crime Squad, by the way )
